WW: Desa Panglipuran Bali - Panglipuran Traditional Village Bali

Desa Panglipuran Bali - Panglipuran Traditional Village Bali
Bright blue sky in Desa Panglipuran Bali - Panglipuran Traditional Village Bali

Still from Bali, the magnificent land of the Gods and Goddesses.

This time I will briefly take you to Desa Panglipuran Bali - Panglipuran Traditional Village Bali, before I tell you all the details of my visit in the next post. Visiting Bali for god-knows-how-many-time, I try to seize the opportunity to explore all unique places Bali offers.

Panglipuran village  is located in Bangli Regency, not too far from Denpasar, Bali or around 45 km. It took us around slightly more than 1 hour due to traffic. Well, it's not that bad as you are visiting a beautiful place indeed.

Here you will experience first hand the live of the Balinese people in their natural habit and environment. You will see their beautiful, religious way of living as is, not in the form of acting whatsoever.

You will enjoy incredible Temple, traditional houses, kitchen as well as food & beverages, wonderful trekking, bamboo forest, ceremonial and sacred dances and more. The entrance ticket is only Rp 25.000,- or less than USD 2 for locals. Love it!

As you step in to this beautiful traditional village, you will be engulfed by its rich tradition and religious cultures Balinese is famous for. The colorful sesajen, the sound of the bamboo wind chimes, the kids running around freely.. Heaven! And this place is utterly clean!

Here are some photos I took in the area. Hope you like it!

Nook Restaurant, Bali - Wonderful Eateries in the Middle of the Paddy Fields

Do you look for wonderful ambience to enjoy around your meal?

Well, I do!

Whenever I get a chance to come to one particular area, I would definitely try to find unique, wonderful restaurant to enjoy.

On my last trip to Bali, I managed to eat in Nook, one cozy restaurant in Kerobokan, Bali. Although I was traveling during Ramadhan, we managed to stop by at lovely restaurants in the area, including this one.

Nook is a great place to chill, relax, and taste the food while enjoying the soothing green Paddy fields in Bali! The ambience and the interior design are so homey and inviting as well.

Don't you just love it!

We went here during Ramadan and we came by to have Ifthar with friends. They do have this lovely ambience because the restaurant is located in the middle of the rice field. So as you enjoy the food and drinks, you will be serenaded by breeze, wind chymes, and singing birds. How do you like that? Super peaceful indeed.

You can definitely order yummy, delicious food here. Find yourself a melange of Western food as well Indonesian and Balinese food to your liking. Here you can have burgers, steak, and pasta as well as sandwiches. They also serve Indonesian food. As for drinks, there are a lot of choice you us to explore. Again, including Indonesian beverages like teh sereh and jahe merah or red ginger.

I tried the Nasi Campur Special, the traditional Balinese plate with complete mini main course starting from rendang, chicken, urap or fresh veggies, sambal matah, tempe and tofu, corn fritters and sate lilit or minced fish satay a la Bali. Super good! I have my infused water and lime ginger hot tea. All is delicious. My friends tried Sirloin steak, spaghetti, and ayam geprek.

Cozy spot we have here...

The service is fast, waiters are friendly. They are very friendly indeed and for sure they can give you all the recommendations for the best food and beverages you like.

I really love the decorations, comfy seats and sofas as well as the ambience here. Let's take a look at photos I took around this cozy place.

The parking lot is not that big but there are staff who can help you finding the spot nearby as well. So parking is manageable. This place is disability friendly as well and again the staff will be more than happy to help. Happy to recommend this place for sure!

So, will you come here when you are around?
I sincerely hope so! And see you on the next adventure!

 Sunrise.

Amazing phenomenon that is always successfully taking my breath away.

No matter  where it happens, in different parts of the world, it will always such a solemn moment for me.

Morning with Sunrise at Tanjung Benoa - Conrad Bali

Recently I visited Bali again and as I stayed in one of my favorite hotels here, Conrad Bali, I once again witnessed the breathtaking view of sunrise here. That happened to be the Earth Day as well. I was so blessed indeed.

Tanjung Benoa area has been famous for its sunrise. It has become the center of water sport as well. As my room is facing the beach side of the hotel, I can hear the happy scream from those enjoying parasailing and jet skies near here. I even noticed some dive center around the hotel, although unfortunately I haven't got a chance to take a dive trip myself. Not during my working visit. Nevertheless, I would be happy to go back for that.

Well, hope you enjoy this sunrise as well.

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

Welcome (back) to Bali

I am welcoming myself to Bali.  Again!

Ramadhan is entering the second week and how grateful I am to be given the strength and perseverance to continue observing this incredible holy month together with my family, My mom and niece are also living with me in the last 12 months and we do fasting together. For me it's a luxury to have my mom with me while we are still in Indonesia. I guess I will stay at home until the end of the year. That will probably the best choice for now during the pandemic and my hubby and I would definitely spend more time with our parents whenever we can. The issue with assignment abroad is sometimes being separated from our loved ones indeed, so when we are still in Indonesia, we tend to spend more times with our parents and big families.

Well, this pandemic doesn't make things easier for sure so we have to ensure the health protocol is well observed before we can meet our parents.

Anyway, speaking of Bali, this time I had back - to back meetings in Uluwatu and in Tanjung Benoa, South Kuta. The meetings were followed by short visit to villages listed as resilient village against disasters as well as the one with law and human rights services in their local system. It is very interesting to meet those officials and see how their villages and the communities respond to the necessary sets of skills, knowledge and good practices on dealing with disasters as well as issues related to the promotion and protection of human rights. I do learn a lot from them. So many beautiful local wisdom that can definitely be showcased here.

In addition, it is always be great to go back to Bali. For whatever reason!

Happy me in Bali

WW: Istana Taman Ujung Karangasem, Bali, Indonesia

Bali never ceases to amaze me.

Although many of us have probably gone and visited Bali several times, there will always be new places and hidden beauty that we will discover.

The last visit to Bali we had was in December 2020. At that time, we also visited the area of Karangasem. One of the places I love to visit in this area is the Taman Ujung Palace in Karangasem.

I might have shared a few photos of this amazing palace of the Karangasem Kingdom, but I still have some more. Here they are...

How do you like the palace? Do you find it mesmerizing?
Will you visit this palace as well?

WW: Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong, Nusa Penida, Bali

Broken Beach, Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia

Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong are some of the beautiful spots we visited during our trip to Nusa Penida, Bali.

Read: The Amazing View of Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, Bali

Just like many parts of Nusa Penida Island, Broken Beach as well as Angel's Billabong are indeed lovely and unique. Looking at its distinct geographical features, I guess the name 'broken beach' comes from that particular shapes of the rocks and corals surroundings the area. So does Angel's Billabong.

Compared to Kelingking beach and all the rigorous track we have to go through to reach it, visiting Broken beach and Angel's Billabong are like a walk in the park.

Take a look at these photos and tell me what you think.

The Angel's Billabong.. look at that clear water!

we were enjoying the Angel's Billabong.. but we didn't swim there
