WW: Happy Transit at London, United Kingdom

Welcome to Paddington Station

This is a late post and I have to admit, I was super happy making a decision to have a little happy transit at London.
Yup, LONDON.

The last time I visited this lovely city was back in 2009, right after new year.

It was early morning at winter

Remember when I had to travel to Tromsø, Norway and Brussels, Belgium, for works? SO heading back home, we decided to stop at London,
And although it was only around 11 hours, we managed to take tubes around London and head to Bicester Village to grab some factory - outlet stuff.
Truly a happy transit :).
Let's see how happy I was.

We took the train to go to Bicester Village and some tubes before arriving at the intercity station

 We stopped at Baywater, Marylebone, dan Paddington stations in order to go to Bicester Village. I should have brought my Paddington Bear and taken picture with it at the Paddington station..

The tunnel is quite deep underground and it's lovely and clean indeed.

We bought our ticket to Bicester Village and directly hopped on for a 45-minute journey to the Factory Outlet. 

Is that X-men symbols :p?  For sure I love it because it's purple!

London: thru' the eyes of Bo...#3

And it was the third day in London already...

What's on the agenda? city tour.....so, off we went again hopping on and off the tube..

First, we  went to the Buckingham Palace, kali-kali ketemu Pangeran William and Harry :D

 

Sambil ngintipin  penjaga yang serius banget...

Rameeee ajaaaa ya Bo, sampai kalo foto harus nyempil nyempil :D..

then we also follow the trail of Diana's memorial walk...





Still, we have more to see...including enjoying the cozy St. James Park...with squirrels jumping around and birds singing their songs..

 
   






Although everybody was tired....terutama Bo yang udah mulai nyeret-nyeret kaki hehehe...

As we got the center of the city, we definitely have more to see...let's seee...the Cathedral for sure...

We also saw the Houses of the Parliament...and not to mention the London Eye, walaupun ngga naik karena takut roboh :D

Juga menyusuri the famous Thames River...walaupun dingiiin...

 Pastinya hebooooh beli souvenir.......well, I guess it's going to be continued...agaiiiin....

Hari kedua di London, langsung deeeh menuju Portsmouth, FO yang penuuuh dengan barang2 branded dan seruuu, kurang lebih satu jam dari London..Naik tube et kereta di London asyik jugaaa...cepet, bersih dan ngga mahal-mahal amaat..

The tube stations are quite colorful and artistic as well...one of my favorite is the one with Serlock Holmes tiles :D...I forgot the name of the station ...:D...

Well, back to our FO trip in Portsmouth...it was a very rewarding trip, I can say..Ira, my dear partner-in-crime when it comes to shopping, has warned my before and reminded me to bring my cabin trolley. at first I was doubtful, but luckily I did listened to her and voilaaaa....my bag was already full on our first stop to M&S outlet :D...penjahaaat memang :D... I even tried to convinced my hubby to take his time shopping, promising him that I wouldn't shop again that year...yeaah, rite...

Long story short, I got one trunk full of M&S stuff for me et Bo (undies, stockings, towels, body butters, lotions, hand soaps, brick brack and I dunno what else :p) 3 suits from Next, 1 retro dress from Next (loooveee it..),  Bo's t-shirts and pants from Mexx and Gap, Udi's 2 pairs of Levi's with its tshirts, 1 pair (surprisingly) of Clarks pumps and Bo's boots, Bo's Thomas toy set, 2 Burberry t-shirts, Udi's ties and of course, my B bag :D.... happy mommy, indeeeed :D...

saleeee saleeee saleeeee.....

Well, well.....even shoppers need to stop and eat...so, we managed to take a break in Nando's before hitting the shops again...

Okay, as time was approaching 5 and most of the shops were starting to close, it was a sign for us to bid Portsmouth goodbye...besides, our two hands couldn't hold more bags, for sure..

So, it's a wrap and let's get back to London, shall we...

Well, well...judulnya bongkar-bongkar dan voilaaaa...found my piece of writing back to 2009 :D..

I can't help but grinning reading all those feeds, so I decided to publish it again here, especially as the previous page will soon be closed...

So, here it is...This one is about our visit to London back in January 2009..

It was fun indeed, and very 'productive', if you know what I mean :D...At that time, I submitted it to Bo's page, so I have to adjust it a bit...

It all started in January 1, 2009...well, di tengah winter Jenewa yang lucu, London is decided to be our next destination :D...setelah persiapan selesai (tiket sih udah lama dibeli, even before visa yang ternyata cepet ngurusnya et gratiiis :D), berangkatlah the 3 of us on Jan 1, 2009, only 2 hour after the New Year Party in PTRI Jenewa :D....mantaaaap, pulang ke rumah, ambil koper et langsung caaabs ke airport...no wonder, sampai airport kita tiarap karena airport sepiii as cafe et toko pada tutup tanggal 1 Januari !!

Arrived in London, kami langsung menuju hotel bintang tujuh tante Ira et Om Andy di Hendon....et wuuuts, langsung menuju Abbey Road yang ngetop itu, padahal belum tiduuur lhoo :D ...

Ngg lupa belanja belanji di Beatles Store yang persis sebelahan dengan Serlock Holmes Museum...

 





Quite a trip, and making us hungry...so off we went to China Town untuk makaaaan...yummy indeed, bikin rombongan semangat untuk jalan lagi sampai ke Oxford St., ngopi-ngopi, et nongkrong di depan Selfridges yang udah mau tutup :D....



Daaaan of courseeee....London dingin ajaaah :D..Extra clothes for all of us, terutama Bo yang kemulan dengan selimut :D...

Well, it's time to call it a daaay as big days are coming ...jadwal penuh niiih...FO Portsmouth, London landmarks dan many moooreeee....we'll be back with more photos...
