Ini judulnya edisi kangen kampung halaman :)...
Jangan boseeen yah kalau saya bercerita tentang Lampung dan segala keindahannya :). Bukannya apa-apa, walaupun Lampung jaraknya hanya 30-menit penerbangan dari Jakarta atau sekitar 8 jam - tergantung kemacetan :) - via darat, tapi rasanya belum semua orang tau tentang cantiknya propinsi di ujung Selatan pulau Sumatera ini. Ayoo...siapa yang belum pernah ke Lampung :)..
So, just before our departure to NYC, we traveled around Lampung to enjoy its endless beauty. This time our group is slightly different, as I took my mother-in-law and Udi''s sister and cousins with us. As Udi's mom is not that young anymore, we didn't travel that far. And we decided to go to Pulau Tangkil or Tangkil island.
It takes around 10 - 15 minutes to go toTangkil Island from Mutun Beach. You can take water taxi which are ready along the shore. The cost is Rp 5.000 - Rp 10.000 per person (app. USD 0.50 - 0.80) for this trip. You can pay extra if you want to explore the other side of the island.
Once you've arrived, you will have to pay another entrance ticket to this island. If I'm not mistaken, it was Rp 6.000,- (USD 0.60) per person. I was a bit upset that the hut there was more expensive than the one in Mutun beach. We had to pay Rp 100.000,- for a temporary hut. Well, as I didn't want to spoil my holiday and we needed to have some rood under the scorching sun, we just paid it.
Then the kids were directly running around and jumping to the water. Well, I won't blame them...who can say no to that inviting cool and clear water. I can't :). So we spent so much time swimming around, snorkeling and enjoying the beach.
You can also try parasailing and other water sport too, like banana boat and jet ski. But we didn't try it. It was expensive I guess :). You'll see the choices down here on my photos :)
They also provide facilities like restrooms and changing rooms..quite clean..
We walked, or rather swam a bit further so that we had better spot for snorkeling. Then we found this cool spot and took many pictures indeed.
I also snorkeled a bit...and found some pipe fish and other interesting underwater creatures.
The current was strong, though, so i couldn't stay still properly to take underwater pictures. The water was clear with good visibility, but the current was really problematic. Here's what I got...
All in all, it was an enjoyable day. After being under the sun for around 6 hours _ wheew, that's long! -, we called the water taxi and went back to Mutun beach where we parked our car.
Hope to see you around, Tangkil Island...
And to those who haven't been here, go and see it for yourself :)
