Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

July is coming...

Half of 2021 is gone and I don't say we have lots of fun but we have a lot to be grateful for! Pandemic is still rampant but I sincerely hope all of us will stay safe and healthy. Even when many of our family, friends, colleagues, or neighbors are fighting COVID-19, I hope they have the strength to fight back and come back fit and healthy.

My Hubby has finally got the vaccine and he got the first shot of Coronavac, the one packed in Indonesia from Sinovac. He was doing fine after the shot, with no heavy symptoms or problems. Slightly light headed, he got rest and drank plenty of water. We are quite happy that he finally get the vaccine without waiting for too long. We used the link from the provincial government of Jakarta, the capital city where we live, and got the appointment at the nearby vaccine center.

There is a public space being set up as vaccination center and you can either make an appointment online, which is highly recommended, or walk in from early morning before the quota of the day was all used up. The place is spacious and provides plenty of room for those who were waiting for their turn. we went to the Asthma center and consult with the specialist before my hubby can get a green light for the vaccine. With the recommendation letter, we came to the center and finally Udi, my hubby, got his first shot. We will have to get back to get the second one 1 month after.

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

How I miss the ocean! While strolling around Tanjung Putus Island, Lampung

Welcome back and I do wish everyone is safe and healthy, wherever you are.

We are still fighting the pandemic and the number of infected person keep increasing here in Jakarta and many provinces in Indonesia. As predicted, after the massive movement during Eid Al Fitr despite all the continuous warning from the government and authorities, we are now witnessing the spike in numbers. I have received many sad news regarding the passing of friends, members of their families and communities. It's so frustrating and depressing indeed.

This week we are also trying to get the vaccine for my hubby. There are many announcement about it and we have registered online. We sincerely hope we can get the fixed schedule soon. We can actually walk in but looks like it's gonna be really packed as in the spots near my house, the vaccination for those under 59 years old has just started. I noticed that many of my friends are getting one too. Many centers have been opened and organized to continue the vaccination programs in various parts of Jakarta and other cities in Indonesia. I do hope all is well managed and we have more and more Indonesians got vaccinated.

I have been working 100 percent from home for the last couple of weeks. All meetings have been transferred into virtual ones, as the social restriction is on again. I know I should not complain as this arrangement is made for our own benefits but it's just too much sometimes. I do need a break.

I get burned out easily as I feel stuck. Well, whenever it comes, I just take a break. I sometimes just go out and drive the car without stopping anywhere. Just want to change the views and refresh. Do you do the same thing as well sometimes? Well, we all have our own way to release the stress. Blogging is also one of my way to cope with the stress I have from works and others.  I sometimes work on my photos and videos as well just to take my mind off horrible things. How about you?

Can't wait to go back out there...

Welcome back to Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

Welcome back!

I am super relieved that my training is completed and although I have to go back to my back-to-back meetings and deadlines at the office, I am glad that one important step in my career is completed. It was quite burdensome as I have to do it back to back with all the demanding works from the office. Well, I guess it teaches me more about time and stress management, as I really struggled with those during the training. Now, I am back focusing on some deadlines and perhaps, getting ready for the next assignment abroad. Sound like a plan! 

I have been wanting to travel a bit a gain but apparently I have to wait as the condition is far from conducive. We have surging numbers of cases of COVID-19 and after the celebration of Eid-Al Fitr, which for some involved family gathering and traveling in groups, we are now looking at people infected by the virus. We even have many casualties in the office and the policies of hosting meetings are getting tougher. Sometimes I feel so tired and hopeless with all the chaos created by this virus, but I know we just have to continue fighting. God, bless us strength and perseverance and this too shall pass! 

Now I feel like I need to do diving soon. Hope I can do it soon. I feel like I need something to keep my spirit up and not succumb to the depression choking us here and there. Well, while waiting for the right time to go out and about again, I busy myself with works and dig deep to my external hard drive to see some cool and relaxing clips I took underwater. Well, it helps for a while. I just can't wait to hit the road and start new adventures! Wait for me, world...
