Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

 Wishing you all well, safe and sound, dear friends.

I have received so many sad, sad news from my big families as well as circle of friends. Many have passed away due to COVID-19. Many are still fighting against the infection. Many parents and elderlies passed away as well.

I myself have just recovered from COVID - 19 after being diagnosed and tested positive with mild symptoms. One of my staff informed me that he was not feeling well and he got tested positive. We were in the same meeting like a week before he was declared positive with COVID - 19. He got fever, cold and flu. So due to that tracing, I rushed to test myself and I was also positive.

I barely have the symptoms, as I only feel light headed a bit and sore throat. I thought it was because I have non stop online  Nevertheless, my test came back positive with CT value 33. Alhamdulillah in 12 days, when I had another PCR test, the result is negative. My hubby was negative since the very beginning when I was tested,  just like my mom and my kids. 

I have conducted self-quarantine at home and try to manage the circumstance. I stayed at home and we arranged the separate bedrooms, toilets as well as common room for me and the rest of my family. We use schedule for using the kitchen as I only have one at home and we also apply disenfectant on surfaces and places that might be taouced or used by me. Mask is obliged all the times even when we stay at home, except when we drink or eat something. Again Alhamdulillah it worked well and my family is not infected.  

So please, please.. if you get a chance to get the vaccines, please do so. I guess one of the reasons why I got very mild symptoms is because I already got vaccinated twice since April 2021 and regularly consume the recommended vitamins. I have to admit I do more exercise and  try to live healthier recently, although I still find it a bit difficult to manage the stress from work as we have more and more deadlines. But again, our health is  outmost important and we know our priorities.

Welcome back to Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

Welcome back!

I am super relieved that my training is completed and although I have to go back to my back-to-back meetings and deadlines at the office, I am glad that one important step in my career is completed. It was quite burdensome as I have to do it back to back with all the demanding works from the office. Well, I guess it teaches me more about time and stress management, as I really struggled with those during the training. Now, I am back focusing on some deadlines and perhaps, getting ready for the next assignment abroad. Sound like a plan! 

I have been wanting to travel a bit a gain but apparently I have to wait as the condition is far from conducive. We have surging numbers of cases of COVID-19 and after the celebration of Eid-Al Fitr, which for some involved family gathering and traveling in groups, we are now looking at people infected by the virus. We even have many casualties in the office and the policies of hosting meetings are getting tougher. Sometimes I feel so tired and hopeless with all the chaos created by this virus, but I know we just have to continue fighting. God, bless us strength and perseverance and this too shall pass! 

Now I feel like I need to do diving soon. Hope I can do it soon. I feel like I need something to keep my spirit up and not succumb to the depression choking us here and there. Well, while waiting for the right time to go out and about again, I busy myself with works and dig deep to my external hard drive to see some cool and relaxing clips I took underwater. Well, it helps for a while. I just can't wait to hit the road and start new adventures! Wait for me, world...

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

June is here and I keep saying to myself how time flies even though we don't (always) have fun!

I am still in the final phase of my National Leadership Training program and as you can guess, here comes to the most stressful time of the training, finishing up my final project, finalizing my reports and presenting them to the panel. Well, I am quite sure about my project and have no worries presenting it, it's just the writing of the reports and showcasing all the evidence proved to be time consuming, amidst the never ending deadline I have from the office works. Well, by the time I am writing it, I am still working on the report. Good thing my presentation is done and after that, the video is waiting. Well, wish me luck!

Last week we had super sad news. We lost Ink, or lovely called Inky by me, our cute little mixed Persian kitten. My little furry girl already passed away when my son found her in the morning. We didn't know what really happened. I was in Makassar when I received this distressing call from Bo, telling my hubby was sick (it was like food poisoning apparently) and Inky died. I was so sad. Well all of us are sad, till now. We have taken extra measures to ensure Inky was well taken care of since day one. She was always the tiniest in the group and she got the last milk most of the time. That is why we gave her extra milk after consulting with our vet. Well, my darling little girl.. rest in peace and have fun biting all those sandals you can find in heaven. You are greatly missed, girl!

Other than that, I have been busy at the office. I can't wait to get a chance to coe back home to Lampung and meet our family there. Not to mention my diving alarm seems to be setting off all the time, reminding me that I have not been doing it for quite some times. I really hope I can go back and feel the sea breeze again. I am scheduled to go back to my training for a week and after that rows of meetings await. Perhaps Bandung and Bogor are in the pipeline. Well.. let's see how things go.
