Wonderful Wednesday with Oh My Heartsie Girls

The second week of July has been wonderful.
Now the kids are enjoying their summer break fully and we managed to visit New York Aquarium in Coney Island on the second day of Lebaran. Back home in Indonesia, the whole week of Eid Al-Fitr is celebrated by taking some days off, in addition to two holidays on the Day 1 and 2. No wonder my timeline is cheerfully filled by my friends and families' trips to many fun places like the beaches, islands, zoos, amusement parks and more.

Away from home doesn't stop us from doing the same thing :).
So, there we were, enjoying New York Aquarium in one sunny day.

It was surely a fun day and the kids got super excited to see the sharks and all those amazing sea creatures.

a lot to see behind those glasses :)

Wonderful Wednesday with Oh My Heartsie Girls

Another week has passed and I have to admit, what a busy week it was for my petite famille.
First we have the stepping up ceremony for my Obi. 

My daughter is graduating from the kindergarten already. 

Feels like yesterday when she was just our chubby little baby who loves to smile. And now, as she walked gracefully with her friends from K-208 as the President of the class, my heart bursted with proud and joy. And honestly, I felt like crying but managed to restrain myself :)

The of course we have Father's Day as well. I have shared that in my previous posting and we all are blessed to have Bapak Rudi as our best-est Dad.

We also continue to observe our solemn holy month of Ramadhan and it is already half way through. I sincerely hope we can be better individuals in the future.

Wonderful Wednesday with Oh My Heartsie Girls

It has been a very interesting week for me and my family.

The holy month of Ramadhan is here and we are fully observing it. We are blessed that we still have the chance to once again observe it solemnly.

Summer days are long but we managed to get used to it, particularly since we have practiced it since last years and while in Geneva. Even Bo has started to have more full fasting days.
I am so proud that he manages to go to school and do his usual activities, although involving less energy-consuming ones.  He also joined the annual dance festival at his school :).

On a lighter note, I was privileged to see the World Tour Formation concert of Beyonce Knowles last week. Yes, Queen B was coming to NYC and what a night :).
Will give more stories on that on my next post.

Wonderful Wednesday with Oh My Heartsie Girls

It's been quite a week for us.
We went to Bo's spring concert and watched him play his trombone together with the fourth grade band.

They played two scores and it was lovely indeed.

After that we had a lovely Greek dinner in one of the tavernas near our house.
It was very yummy and healthy indeed. I really enjoyed the greek salad, grilled calamari and the lemon chicken and rice soup. Delicious :).

I was not feeling very well last week.
My condition dropped thanks to the fever and horrible sore throat :(.
I took some medicines and spent 2 day almost sleeping and resting.
After quite sometimes never felt like it (it's kinda remind me of my chemo session), I had some rest and thank God I got better in two days.

So now, let's get ready for our weekely party here :)

Wonderful Wednesday with Oh My Heartsie Girls

To those who live in the US, how's your long weekend?
We pretty much enjoy this week with some extra day off for Memorial Day.

Although this week I am still buried in works.

Meetings are continuous and tiring indeed.

But ever morning, I always try to walk with Bo et Obi and enjoy my brief moment of tranquility.

Being blessed for the beauty around us.

Getting some string and great spirit from the kids and fresh morning air before heading to the office and the UN.

During the long weekend, we didn't do much, but made trips to the Factory Outlet twice ;p. 

They really gave you the discount for this special day.

We tried Astoria Pool, which was supposed to be open during the Memorial Day weekend, but the pool was still dry and empty. So the kids just enjoyed the water sprinkler in the playground on Monday. It was still fun indeed.
