Fun Saturday at Rocket Park Mini Golf

The weather gets colder indeed here in NYC but we just don't wanna miss the fun outside while we have the sun.

We had some birthday party outside and after that we decided  to visit New York Hall of Science. It is a lovely place you would love to spend some time with your kids for sure but I am going to give you the details on the Hall of Science on another post.

But let me know how fun it was when we spent some times at the Rocket Park Mini Golf at Flushing Meadows. It is located inside the park of the New York Hall of Science.

clear blue sky..but cold :)

Bo et Udi, my hubby really enjoyed the mini golf...

the mini golf was fun..

As the member of the NY Hall of science, we got USD 1 discount and we paid for  USD 4 for kids while adult is USD 5.

As I said, my boys really enjoyed it while Obi and I laughed out loud looking at their frequent attempts - and mostly-failed shots :).

let me try it again :)

For Bo, it was the first time for him to try golf. And boy, he is super excited ;)

Udi showing Bo how to do it priperly..at least according to him :)
And my hubby really enjoyed teaching Bo as well.
Well, golf is not really his thing but apparently he got the knack of it :)

the nine courses of the mini golf..

As usual, it has 9 holes with different levels of difficulties.
And it has 2 NASA rockets adorning the course as well :).
Another unique thing here is that the kids are introduced to many concepts related to the spaceships, gravity, launch window and many more.
Super cool indeed :).

So if you happen to be around, don't miss Rocket Park Mini Golf :)

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 2015

It's October and it's time for another Making Strides against Breast Cancer :).

we are ready ..are you ready to join us?

Remember last year when I joined Making Strides against Breast Cancer during my chemo?

I was still struggling last year :)

Joining the noble cause on the fight against breast cancer...
I have shared it in my blog as well, Making Strides against Breast Cancer, the D-Day  :).

And this year, I will definitely join thousands of survivors, volunteers and anyone whose life have been impacted by cancer on the same fight.

SAVE THE DATE, PEOPLE

Making Strides against Breast Cancer walk in Central Park, NYC,
Sunday, 18 October 2015
Central Park, 72nd Street East, Bandshell

If last year I was a bit down with chemo, this year I was much more energized and get readier, including with the fundraising activities.

this is my dashboard, with Indonesia Ceria & Beyond as my team....

I managed to order some customized merchandises as well to support my campaign this year, including this tenun endek Bali pouch adorned with the pink ribbon logo.

if you are interested, give me a shout ..it's USD 15 each :)

The proceed will be donated to Making Strides against Breast Cancer for sure.
Up until now, with the help of many dearest friends and family, I have gathered USD 885 so far :)

If you want to join the walk or contribute, please check it out HERE as the whole month of october will be dedicated to intensify our efforts in our joint efforts to fight breast cancer :).

And do you you wanna know why I am making this strides?

Because I want to have more birthdays...and see my kids grow up :).
I want to see Bo et Obi's children, my grandchildren.
I want to grow old with Rudi, my munchkin :)
The same dreams that I also share with all women who have to fight breast cancer...

I know I will make a difference in the fight to end breast cancer through some real actions. I believe that by raising funds and walking in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event, I will help save lives from breast cancer. As a person diagnosed with breast cancer myself, I can't help but joining this noble cause for all women who face the same cancer.

We have the same fear, but we don't have to fight it alone!

I sincerely hope and believe that one day breast cancer will never steal another year from anyone's life. Making Strides is not only my opportunity to join my community to fight back against breast cancer, but it is also a way to inspire hope by raising funds and awareness to help those facing the disease. That's why I'm walking.

My reason for walking in the Making Strides event is probably personal – just like every other walker’s story.

We all walk because we’ve been affected by breast cancer in some way, and because the Making Strides event gives us the power to make a difference and fight back.

This is my opportunity to honor breast cancer survivors, to remind myself to stay strong and feeling blessed.
It's the perfect time to remember people we have lost, and help raise funds for groundbreaking research, information and services for people fighting breast cancer, and mammograms for women who need them.

Why I Support the American Cancer Society

Every day, the American Cancer Society helps people take steps to reduce their risk of breast cancer or find it early when it is easiest to treat. Today 1 of every 2 women newly diagnosed with breast cancer reaches out to them for help and support. They provide free information and services when and where women need it throughout their journey to get well. They are investing in groundbreaking research to find, prevent, treat, and cure breast cancer, and are working to ensure access to mammograms for women who need them.

I have signed up to walk and fundraise with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. I hope you will consider joining my team and/or making a donation in support of my efforts.

Together, we can make strides to end breast cancer!

Don't forget to participate in my Giveaways and win cool merchandises, including from American Cancer Society. Check it out here :)

Breast Cancer Campaign #gopink #finishthefight

Hello October and helloooo everyone...

Time to Go Pink ;)

join me in this campaign :)

I know many of us have been touched by cancer in so many ways. Either it is your loved ones, member(s) of your family, your dearest friends, colleagues at the office or even yourself.

I myself have been fighting the breast cancer up till now since I was diagnosed with it last year.
And my life has changed ever since.

It all started from a little lump on my right breast... then I have a long journey to recovery after I was diagnosed with 1-C stage.

I did my mastectomy, 16 rounds of chemotherapy, breast reconstruction and 25 back-to-back radiation session. I am currently on Herceptin infusion every 3 weeks and Tamoxifen as well.

I am pretty optimistic about my #roadmaptowellness ;).

But one thing for sure, I was lucky that I had early detection.
Thanks to all those information and materials openly available from American Cancer Society and many others, I managed to get familiar with my health issues and get myself ready to embrace it.

That's why, now I would like to invite you, those living in the US and Canada as well as Indonesia, to join this campaign in this Breast Cancer Awareness month.

You can write, tell us your stories. Write anything you want about cancer, particularly breast cancer. You can share your own story about it, your knowledge about cancer, or your tips and tricks in leading a healthy life to avoid cancer.

You can also post a photo, make a poster, shoot a video, make any crafts related to cancer, anything that you see fit in boosting up the awareness about breast cancer.

Tag me, link up and grab my Photo down here so we can be connected ;).

put this in your blog so we can be connected :)

As a token of appreciation, I have several merchandises from American Cancer Society as well as from myself  (I have some Indonesian handicrafts specially designed for this campaign) for 10 lucky readers of my blog.

let's fight breast cancer together :)

As a token of appreciation, I have several merchandises from American Cancer Society as well as from myself  (I have some Indonesian handicrafts specially designed for this campaign) for 5 lucky readers of my blog.

grab one for you :)

I hope you all can join me in this Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

The whole month of October will be the perfect time for our jount efforts so I will wait for your post until October 31st.

Together we can fight cancer!

NOAH Concert in NYC

It's been quite some times since the last time I watched live concert.

Let alone Indonesian Band.

But last Friday, I managed to join screaming fans and have so much fun in Noah concert in NYC.

Are you familiar with Noah?
Check their official website to know them better :)

photo is taken from http://www.noah-site.com/gl/gl_id/4/About.html

Held in Santos Party House, Downtown New York City, the concert was a great success.
I am originally not a big fan of them but by the time I enjoyed their first song that night, I pledged myself to be one big FAN indeed :))..

Ariel, Uki, Lukman and David are awesome indeeeeed..
I have to admit I kept jumping around and screaming that night..and of course singing along with the rest of the audience :)

the many expressions of Ariel, Noah's lead vocalist :)
I guess they have around 20 song preformed that night. I knew some of them pretty well but not all of them. For sure most of the audience sang along of all those hits that were part of the song list.
Lukman, the lead Guitarist...
Uki, who reminds me of Didit my friend, is the guitarist as well
I have nothing else to say but NOAH ROCKS!
Check out more photos in my Facebook album :)

Wanna hear them out? Check out my video here..

Now I hope you'll understand why I love this band instantly :).
Who's your favorite band btw?

All photos are taken by me using my iPhone 6 plus et Ztylus :)

some of the screaming fans :)

Btw, I was wearing my pink outfit to honour the Pinktober :)
