WW: Hagia Sophia Revisited

We have heard from the news recently that Hagia Sophia or Aya Sofya in Istanbul, Turkey is now becoming mosque again. It was originally built as Cathedral then turned into mosque for several times before it functions as museum. Until July 10th, 2020, when President Erdogan of Turkey announced that Hagia Sophia will resume its function as mosque again.

I just remember my last visit there and  revisit this amazing place through my external hard disk. Again I just realize I have so many unpublished photos of Hagia Sophia. 

Even after all those times, I am still awed by its magnificent details.

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

Wishing you all a wonderful week, wherever you are.
I am once again traveling to Geneva, Switzerland as we have the 42nd session of the Human Rights Council running from September 9th - 27th.
Preparation is tough as at the same time we are also preparing for the UN General Assembly, where our Vice President is attending.

Nevertheless, I tried to make some times and enjoyed Switzerland at its best.
So, as I have shared previously in WW: One Lovely Saturday at Gruyères, Fribourg, Switzerland, the clear blue sky and wonderful view prove to be the best remedies for my travel-related fatigue.

Before that, during the transit, we also explored Topkapi Palace in Istanbul.

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls, and Friends

How's the week treating you, people? 

About to land in NYC

Mine has been super duper hectic! 

In the course two weeks, I have been traveling to Moscow, Semarang, Solo, and New York City. It was a crazy itinerary, as I was staying in Moscow for 2.5 days, as well as Semarang. As for New York City, I flew through Istanbul (again) and stay in the Big Apple for 2.5 days as well. Meaning, I have spent more time on the air and during transits for the last couple of weeks. As you know, if I take Turkish Airlines, we fly to NYC for about 24 hours, excluding the transit time, which varies from 2 - 12 hours. So you can imagine that we literally spend around 2 days to travel. Well, I survived. But I have to say I won't do that again any time soon LOL.

But now, I am happy to be back to Jakarta and be with my family again. 

Nothing beats the morning kisses and hugs from my munchkins and the crazy, mad house as we prepare everything together in the morning or our fight in the evening to decide which restaurant to go to :).

Well, family is numero uno and they keep me sane regardless of how horrible works can be. 

So, this week I plan to rest and relax with the Frakarsas. What's your plan?
