WW: The Good Shepherd Church Lake Tekapo - Road Trip in South Island NZ

Lake Tekapo.

One of the many beautiful lakes we encounter in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Recently, as we explored South Island, enjoying our first Road Trip in South Island, Aotearoa New Zealand, we stopped by at Lake Tekapo’s most famous landmarks, the Church of the Good Shepherd.

This charming small, stone church is beautifully located at one corner of picturesque lake and making it arguably one of the most photographed churches in New Zealand.

While we visited the area, we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to capture this as well.

Here’s what we got on our 2 nights in Lake Tekapo, taking tons of pictures, literally, in different times, even till pass midnight.

On the first night, we stopped by rather late as we checked in to our hotel in Twizel first before heading here and had dinner. The trip from Twizel to Lake Tekapo takes around 20 minutes. The reason

Apparently, the church and the church's yard is closed at 8 PM during summer. But we managed to see the yard and also the lake and the surrounding. The church is not open except during its scheduled mass, but if you or your group would like to visit inside or attend the mass, you can definitely be in touch with the church.

So after getting our dinner, we sticked around and waited till dark to get more photos of this place.

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

Cheers from all of us!
Here comes another week full of fun!

My kids went back to school and it was sort of a mixed feeling of excitement, craving for more holidays and happy to meet friends and teachers. We had everything ready, including the books, bags, uniforms and more.

Luckily, we managed to go back to Lampung and as promised, we took the kids to the beach and met  their cousins. We spent some time at Sari Ringgung Beach and gathered at my mom's house. It's good to meet my big family, including my cousins, nieces and nephews. It was great as we didn't plan that yet we all met at the beach!

Before hitting the beach
I had diving trip as well and happily met the giant stingray or manta!
Watch it on my video in YouTube for my last diving trip.
You can see the huge puffer fish and giant manta there!
I was super happy as this dive showed more spots and underwater creatures that I loved so much.

So, all in all, it's been a wonderful week and we just can't wait to see what next days will bring. Wishing you all a great week ahead and join us on our weekly link party!

WW: Last Days of Holiday at Sari Ringgung Beach, Lampung

Cheers from Sari Ringgung
How is your summer break?

Here in Indonesia, the kids only enjoy 2 weeks of holidays or summer break.
The new class starts on July 15th, 2019.
It seems so short a break but the kids actually enjoyed a long break, around 3 weeks, during Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitri, prior to the summer break.
So all in all, they have enjoyed 5 weeks off, which is not that bad at all.

the gate..

Again, we went back to my hometown to meet our parents and say hi to the beach again.
We went to Sari Ringgung Beach a bit late so we didn't go to one of the islands surrounding it. But we managed to have a little reunion with our extended families here on the beach. Two huts, tons of delicious food, and endless photo sessions, that's what we had. Moreover, the kids enhoyed their swimming and canoeing sessions at the beach.

It took around 1 hour 15 minutes from down town Bandar Lampung to reach this beach. it takes a while mostly becuase we only have one busy road leading to the area.

The entry ticket is Rp 20.000,- (or less than USD 2) per person, including kids, with car (including driver) for Rp 20.000,-. You can rent the big hut for Rp 100.000,- for 5 hours and rent floats fro Rp 10.000,- or canoe fro Rp 25.000,-. They also have Banana Boat package for 1 - 5 persons for Rp 150.000,-.

It was a beautiful weekend celebrating the last days of our kids' holiday.
Happy to see all those smiles!

Here are some pictures from our last days of holiday at Sari Ringgung Beach, Lampung.
