Lempuyang Temple, Karangasem, Bali - the Gate of Heaven

Bali certainly has a lot to offer! 

No matter how many times you have visited this wonderful place, there will always be something new, something magical that you can definitely find here.

During our recent holiday in Bali amidst the pandemic, we drove to Karang Asem Regency to see one of the ‘dreamiest spots’ viraling in social media. Lempuyang Temple. 

Have you been to the Lempuyang Temple?

It took us around 2.5 hours drive from Nusa Dua and once we arrived, we parked and took the shuttle to the closest part of the temple. We paid 50K or USD 3.5 for the shuttle and the same amount for the entrance ticket, including the rent of kain or fabrics we need to wear in this holy praying area, the help of photographer at the gate, and donation.

Sitting in the hilly area overlooking Mount Agung, Lempuyang Luhur Pura or temple is part of the Sad Kahyangan Temple built in the 11 century AD. That is 9 centuries ago. The local guide we met on the spot even said that the temple was built around 2000 years ago! It has 7 temples up until the very top that lie in the middle of a pristine jungle, which can only be reached by approximately 4 - hours hike. And that’s the speed of the locals, not us.

Lempuyang Temple, strategically located in a plateau that has 1700 stairs, perfectly frames Mount Agung and soon becomes people’s favorite because of its breathtaking beauty. The unique architectures surrounding the temples, with the gate of heaven and the giant dragon statues, add to its magnificent features.

When we entered the area, it was drizzling and soon as we took pictures at the gate, it started to rain. Nevertheless, it doesn’t dampen our spirit to enjoy this temple. Even the fog turns the place more magically beautiful.

FLOATING BREAKFAST AT THE ROYAL PITA MAHA RESORT, UBUD, BALI

Hi everyone.. Hope all is well and you are always safe, happy and healthy, wherever you are. 

The end of the year is so near and I am lucky to have the privilege to spend some days in the most beautiful place on earth. BALI.

Perhaps you have read previous posts on different parts of Bali where I traveled to Ubud, Kuta, and Nusa Dua since October 2020.  Now I would like to share more stories about my recent stay in Ubud, Bali, especially in the Royal Pita Maha Resort. I first came here in October for meeting, then I came back again in the beginning of December with my family. We celebrated our anniversary and my hubby's 45th birthday. and before, we celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday in Nusa Dua. Well, December is indeed special for the Frakarsas!

So, this time I will show you the floating breakfast!

Yup.. floating breakfast!

 

I have to admit I have been so envious looking at so many Instagram feed showing gorgeous photos of floating breakfast in many lovely hotels, villas or residence. So when I got a chance to experience it myself at the Royal Pita Maha, I didn't think twice LOL. 

Actually the breakfast is similar to what you have in the restaurant. During our first stay in this place, we have choice for the breakfast. Not as many or fancy as the buffet breakfast before the pandemic but I love the choices of Indonesian breakfast and the American one. 

So I enjoy nasi goreng complete with egg, fried chicken, crispy crackers, chili and pickles. Not to mention fresh fruit and fresh juice. Then 2 staff came to my room to help me setting up the floating breakfast by putting everything on the rattan tray. then voila.. put it on the pool and you have your floating breakfast. As easy as that!

Now, the challenge is hot to enjoy your breakfast in the pool. It's not that easy as it seems. In my case, I took some times to take photos and videos on the pool while enjoying my nasi goreng.  Ribet LOL! But all in all, I do appreciate the help if the staff in preparing the breakfast and the lovely ambience we have at the Royal Pita Maha Resort.

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

I hope everyone is safe, happy, and healthy wherever one is!

I have been following the news and see the continued spiking numbers of COVID-19 cases in so many countries, including Indonesia. It's sad to hear the news and some happened to somebody we know. 

As I have shared before, I have been traveling for work and this week, my family and I explored Bali. It's good to be back on the road as we all love traveling. But at them same time, we cannot deny that we get anxious whenever we meet big group of people or traveling to a place packed with visitors. Of course we are trying our best to seriously implement new normal norms and health protocol. It becomes the new SOP and standard whenever we have to make contact with others or travel for work. Hopefully that will help us prevent the spread of the virus.

Amidst the pandemic, we are blessed to spend my daughter's 10th birthday in Bali. I had a meeting and my kids had their final exam but before we started anything, we managed to have a little celebration. Just the 4 of us, in our hotel room. Nothing fancy, but we have a little birthday cake and candle blowing session. Alhamdulillah Obi, or Nadine, has healthily grown. Tons of love, mija, and may Allah SWT bestow you with abundant blessings. Always.

While in Bali, we decided to pay a visit to Nusa Penida Island. It's simply AMAZING!

Kelingking beach, Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong and Chrystal Bay are on our itinerary and through a private tour for a safe and healthy trip, we finally enjoyed this breathtaking beauty. WW: The Amazing Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida Bali

Hi, everyone...

Indah's here and I am happily back to Bali!

Words can never express how grateful I am to be able to revisit this incredible heaven-on-earth, together with my family.

In this trip, we decided to explore the places that we haven't been or done things we haven't done before. That includes visiting the exotic Nusa Penida island!

And what an amazing island Nusa Penida is!

We took the tour to Nusa Penida operated by Idola Fast Boat and chose the full-day West side tour. We visited Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong and Crystal Bay. We had private tour with local car and guide as well. It was lovely!

Before I spill all the details about our trip there, here are some photos  I took at the amazing Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida Bali.

Conrad Bali Hotel for Your Exceptional Stay in Bali

Won't you agree when I say Bali is always a wonderful idea?

I am so addicted to Bali and I can't believe I was lucky enough to actually get a chance to come back and forth here in the last 3 months.

I have coming back to this Island of Paradise again and again, including with my petite famille, the Frakarsas. Our last trip to Bali, which is still ongoing by the time I wrote this, is quite long as we plan to stay for around 10 days here. This time, we are staying at Conrad Bali.

Speaking of Conrad Bali, this is one of the best hotels in my list of most favorite hotels in Bali. I have been coming back-and-forth to Conrad Bali due to is incredible facilities, heart warming services, strategic location and great pools by the ocean. Everything is lovely! So far, I have been staying here for 4 times.

The room is comfortable, spacious, and beautifully designed. I love all the Balinese touch perfectly combined with the comfort of technology for a great stay. One particular wood carving on the wall really looks amazing.

I love this!

The bed is comfy, the bathroom is exquisite, the amenities are incredible, and the natural landscape as well the view is breathtaking.

Towels are clean and smells wonderful, you get iron and ironing board as well. You have choices of bathtub and shower at the same time. Most of the things you need during your stay are available. You can check it out from my photos and my videos on YouTube!

All the staff are very friendly too. From the moment you step out of the car arriving here till the time you check out of the hotel, you can feel their genuine soul. Love it! And the newly renovated lobby is amazing. Spacious, beautifully decorated and I just love all the home accents they use!

I always got that big plate of fresh fruits in my room and whenever you need anything, you only have to dial the concierge’s or the guest service. I don't really have to wait for long before getting what I need.

I came here before the pandemic and during the pandemic and both stay remain incredible. I know that we have a lot of adjustments due to the pandemic but the great thing about the Hilton group is that they are really implement thing that clean stay approach and principles for all the guests. Your temperature is checked since the very first time you enter the premises, hand sanitizers are everywhere, and your room is thoroughly cleaned and sealed before you enter. Even the bellboy or staff cannot come to the room in order to ensure the cleanliness and safety for the guests. Physical distance is repeatedly Breakfast is beautiful as we still have the buffet that we always love whenever we have breakfast in the hotel and then additional menu from the a la carte.

For the Buffet, you have bread station, egg stations, and Indonesian breakfast like chicken porridge, fried rice and fried noodles. From the a la carte menu, you have Japanese bento with fish or chicken teriyaki, more eggs choices like egg Benedict and fluffy omelette, pancakes, various kind of healthy salads, cereals, yogurt and muesli, fresh fruits, and more.

Don't get me start with the pools.. It has 5 huge ones I guess so you can swim to your heart content. My kids are going crazy with them! Not to mention the beach. Clean and so close to the premises, you can enjoy great sunrise or even lovely sunset here. As we are spending some holiday here in December before Christmas, they put this beautiful Christmas tree made of that unique, iconic Balinese monkey in Conrad called Komang dressed for various occasions, for the Christmas tree! They are very cute indeed. They also give you a 30-minute free complimentary photo session. Nice, right!

Don't forget to enjoy the incredible sunrise on the beach! Even the sunset is lovely as well, as we saw rainbow on one of our late afternoon here!

All in all, my stay is lovely and thoroughly enjoyable.

My kids are having the time of their lives and we are more than happy to be back here again soon.
