Recently I have been digging up my files and photos from my previous adventures and activities. I guess I keep saying that in my post during this pandemic LOL.
As October is celebrated as Pinktober as well in my house, I happen to see some photos taken during my 2-year treatment as breast cancer patient.
cheers from Obi and I .. one of my 6-hour-straight chemo episodes
It's amazing to see how photos brought back all the memories, nice and not-so-nice ones. I have to admit it was not always a rose-colored journey. There are times when I was not really myself and times when I got super tired, bored, and frustrated with everything I have to go through thanks to cancer.
the blood bag I have to carry for 6 weeks :)
I remember vividly when the verdict came, one simple phone call from my GP that changed my life forever. I will never forget when I first walked in to the operating room for mastectomy, my first chemo, the radiation process and endless doctor's and hospital visit and so many more. I am so blessed and glad to be able to pass it all through with a big smile! Merci ya Rabb.
Here are a few photos from my journey of Fighting Breast Cancer and let's spread more awareness about breast cancer, in our own way. I want those fighting it, our Warriors, and those surviving it, will always support one another so that we all can finish the fight!

My favorite season of it all. The perfect weather. The foliage. The changing colors. Halloween. Making Strides against Breast Cancer. My dearest late grandma's birthday. All in October.
That is why October is always special to me as well. It's the breast cancer month and again it brings back all the memories of things we did back there in New York City. Those following my blog for quite sometimes know that I have been fighting breast cancer since 2014 and whenever I get a chance, I will do my best to show support and raise awareness about this horrific disease. When I first diagnosed withe BC back in 2014, I had set my heart on fighting it. Along the way, I found wonderful community which support one another in the fight of breast cancer. American Cancer Society and Lovepink Indonesia are among them.
I have uploaded my throwback video of Making Strides against Breast Cancer back in NYC last year. We don't have the same gathering in 2020 due to COVID-19 but I guess the Committee will come up with virtual platform. Feel free to watch the video here:
In the beginning of the week, we have joined Pink Virtual Walk(click to et more photos and stories) as COVID - 19 prevents us from gathering in a crowd. Well, although we only walked around the house but we still have the joy of celebrating the fighting spirit against breast cancer!
Now it's time for Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie World, and Friends. Ready to party? Jump in..
We would also appreciate letting us know in comments you are following us so we can follow you back! All posts are welcome, even if you have several blogs.

I regularly celebrate this month with the fight against breast cancer. Being a breast cancer survivor, I hope my journey towards the road to recovery will benefit others who have to go down the similar path. I try to join communities which support those fighting, surviving and being affected by breast cancer. One way to do it is by joining American Cancer Society in NYC. In Jakarta, I join Lovepink Indonesia dan Yayasan Kanker Indonesia.
Every year, starting 2014, I joined Making Strides against Breast Cancer in Central Park New York. I was lucky enough to be in the city during those times.
Nevertheless, in 2020, things are extremely different.
This year, as we have the pandemics, I don't travel to NYC or any other cities abroad. We stay at home most of the time and occasionally travel to nearby city. So this year, I joined Pink Virtual Walk held by Love Pink Indonesia.
We took our walk surrounding our complex, observing health protocol and wearing pink accessories. I was accompanied by Obi, Fia my nice and my hubby. It was fun indeed.
Here are some photos we took that day
Let's celebrate the spirit to fight breast cancer. Don't forget SADARI or Periksa Payudara Sendiri, or self breast exam, in Bahasa Indonesia. I sincerely hope we all safe, happy and healthy, always.
October is leaving us and we have 2 month before 2020 is saying hello. How time flies! Even if we don't always have fun. October has been lovely and crazily tiring for me. I went to Geneve and New York City this month and the meetings were indeed back to back. Needless to say we had a lot to cover but hey, I'm still alive and kicking :). October is also special as I have participated in a seminar celebrating the Cancer month. Being a survivor, I shared my journey fighting breast cancer. And I was again so lucky to be able to join Making Strides against Breast Cancer in Central Park, New York City, flying far away from Jakarta, Indonesia.
