Here comes the BIG DAY!
Our Election Day is HERE.
Wednesday, April 17, 2019, is THE DAY when we, all the eligible Indonesian voters. will be voting at the designated areas.
And we are super excited!
Election Day in Indonesia has always been colourful as we had started to have direct election since 2009 and for this year, we have around 190 millions eligible voters.
Such a huge number!
Moreover, around 8 months of gruelling campaign period has been quite an experience. Be it on the ground as well as on social media, we saw horrible hoaxes and misinformation here and there. well, you know how crazy politics is!
But what I am happy and proud is that this HUGE democracy party is conducted smoothly. Well, we have some glitches here and there. But imagine this... managing consecutive election (for President and Vice President, parliamentarian at central government as well as provincial and citi levels) with 190 voters, with turnout voters around 80%, in 34 provinces, 514 cities/municipalities, and more that 7000 villages in area comprising more than 17.000 islands is indeed not a piece of cake. We salute our General Election Commission as well as all relevant institutions for managing this process and we are now waiting for the real count!
The quick count shows that our beloved president, Bapak Joko Widodo, will likely be our president again!
My hubby and I went to our voting booth at 7 AM in the morning.
Yup..7 AM indeed!
We know it's gonna be a long line so the earlier we came, the better.

ReplyDeleteSaya ngasi,h suaranya siangan agar tak antre., jelang zuhur, saat sudah tak ada lagi yang datang memilih, cuma seorang bapak. Lebg adem, he he. Sekarang medsos masih ramai dengan dengung panjang soal pemilu. Lelah juga. Lgatnya karena status yang kiranya saya butuhkan sebagaimana biasanya untuk informasi yang berkaitan dengan literasi atau kulineran tertimbun dengungan.

ReplyDeleteWah semangat juga masih jam 7 pagi udah berangkat nyoblos. Petugas di TPS udah siap juga ya? Tempatku tuh yang datang udah gasik, tapi petugas belum selesai ngecek seluruh kartu suara.

ReplyDeleteMbak Indah dapat nomer berapa tu datang ke TPS jam 7. Alhamdulillah meaki lintas provinsi, akupun datang awal dan masoh belum ramai. Alhamdulillah proses pencoblosan berjalan lancar dan semoga apapun hasilnya, rakyat Indonesia sudah dewasa menerima dengan gembira.

Yeaaay...aku juga udah nyoblos kak. Seneng bisa berpartisipasi dalam pesta demokrasi kali ini. Kemarin di Jogja kerasa kaya lebaran. Orang pada pakai baju putih banyak banget hahahaha...jalanan juga sepi nggak kaya sehari-harinya. Semoga presiden 2019 membawa Indonesia lebih baik lagi ke depannya. Aamiin

ReplyDeletePemilu kali ini, tahun 2019, memang luar biasa, mbak. Aku merasakan uforianya begitu kuat. Alhamdulillah, semua bisa berjalan dengan lancar dan baik.
ReplyDeleteMeskipun beberapa hari ini kabar di TV banyak anggota KPPS yang meninggal karena kelelahan, dsb. Semoga semua yang bertugas mendapatkan pahala yang setimpal. Tadi aku lihat di TV, perjuangan warga negara Indonesia berjuang mengantarkan surat suara agar sampai di lokasi dengan memakai sapi sebagai transportasinya karena jalanan yang berlumpung. Aku salut.
