Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

Hi everyone,

Time flies and August has been super colorful for me. The ups and downs of life certainly are reflected in this month. I had awesome time at Lampung exploring its magnificent beauty then in a matter of days we received the sad news of the passing of my dearest aunty in Palembang. She passed away peacefully after having issues with her breath. It was really shocking indeed. We travelled to Palembang from Jakarta, driving 10 hours straight. it was tiring yet we all went to Palembang. Members of the big family traveled as well and we gathered in Palembang. With health protocol being fully observed obviously. 

Well, life continues. I was going back to Jakarta after the burial. Again as I said it was tiring yet you didn't bid farewell to your dearest aunt every day.

Now, I am concentrating with my work at the office. The UN General Assembly is coming and this is going to be another 'storm' in terms of works. As we observe health protocol and new procedures, we still have off line and online meetings. It will be a bit complicated but surely rewarding as Indonesia show a lot of leadership in efforts to deal with the pandemic. Well, wish us lucky and please stay happy, healthy and safe, wherever you are!

 The Amazing Gigi Hiu, Kelumbayan, Lampung, Indonesia

We had the opportunity to go to one of the exotic beaches in Lampung, Gigi Hiu.

It was an amazing, extreme experience as the road heading to this place was not that easy at all. As my hubby said it felt like an off road trip, but we were only driving our SUV car.

But the view there is awesome!

Some of the footage we have here were taken by DJI Phantom 4 Professional Drone.

I really like the aerial photos and these are some of the results, without undergoing any edit.

Busy August we have here...

The kids are having their tests and the office is in full swing. Most of our meetings are hybrid. Online and offline with limited participants. Still the amount of works and preparation I need to make are abundant. Yet, I have to say we are adjusting with all this arrangement and since the statistics of those affected are still high, we are extremely carefully.

I had my underwater flag-hoisting ceremony in Tanjung Putus, Lampung, on August 17th and we really had a blast. We also managed to visit Gigi Hiu, the exotic beach located in Kelumbayan, Tanggamus, Lampung. The views are spectacular!

 UNDERWATER FLAG HOISTING CEREMONY IN LAMPUNG, INDONESIA

 

HAPPY 75^TH ANNIVERSARY, INDONESIA!

 

On the occasion of the 75^th anniversary of Indonesia, my beloved homeland, I joined my diving club in Lampung to conduct flag-hoisting ceremony underwater.

 

Twenty members of Corona Diving Club (yes, the name is CORONA J) Lampung chapter has decided to do it at Tanjung Putus Island, Lampung. This place is an amazing snorkeling and diving spot so many of us were super excited.

 

It took us around 1.5 hours boat ride from Puri Gading beach, where we started the journey. You can definitely embark from different ports like Ketapang, Mutun and Sari RInggung beaches. We headed to Green Bay Tanjung Putus, where you can stay overnight as well as it has cottages and big meeting room for gatherings. Not to mention clear turquoise water and amazing underwater world right in front of the cottage for you who love snorkeling and diving. You can also spend the night and just simply enjoy the white sandy beach in this island.

 

So, we arrived at Tanjung Putus at 11 AM. We started with the ceremony at the dock before going underwater. At 12, 20 of us went down around 7 meters deep and did jockey seat underwater to pay respect and give salute to Merah Putih, Indonesia’s flag. 

It was very solemn indeed. After about 20 minutes being underwater and taking pictures as well as video, we went diving around before taking our lunch break and enjoy the beauty of Tanjung Putus island.

 

It was really an unforgettable experience for me!

Dengan keindahan alamnya, keunikan budayanya, keramahan penduduknya, kelezatan makanannya, dan semangaaatnya untuk terus maju!

How do you celebrate your independence day?

Happy Birthday to Me

Happy, happy birthday to me 😇

I just celebrated my 43rd birthday and for sure I was so blessed to be given the opportunity to celebrate it with my loved ones. 

And I cooked!

I cooked, cooked and cooked indeed 😇.

As it was my day, I cooked yellow rice and most of its companions, like fried chicken, omelette, fried potatoes croquettes, and more. I have to admit it was tiring yet it made me happy. My Hubby and my son helped me with the potatoes while my girl helped whisking the eggs 🍳. We also prepared Galbi, Korean marinated ribs. It was a fun day. 

Then later that day, my aunts and my cousins stopped by. Wearing the masks and observing health protocol, we ate the food together. I bought some chocolates and cookies as well for the kids. Well, they brought them home as we didn’t really gather for long.

Well, at the end of the day, I did enjoy my time with my family. We didn’t go out and eat in the restaurant or some fancy place but we did spend precious time together. And that’s what matters ♥️♥️♥️.
