WW: Sunrise Walk and Nusa Dharma Island, Nusa Dua Bali, Indonesia

Waking up early in the morning to catch the sunrise and walk to Nusa Dharma Island, a near by island connected to Nusa Dua Beach, is quite an experience.

I woke up early for subuh prayer and this time, I directly went to the beach, right behind the Sofitel Nusa Dua where we stayed, to see the lovely sunrise. It was a bit clousy yet we managed to enjoy the beauty of it. We also decided to continue strolling the beach to have a little jogging. At the end of Nusa Dua beach, you will find Nusa Dharma Island, a small and clean island with temple on it.

Welcome to Nusa Dharma Island

It was very peaceful in the morning as you listened to the sound of the chirping birds and the crashing waves. The sea surrounding the island is clean and inviting, although the waves were big.

do you see the birds on top of the trees?

The temple is quite big and looks peaceful as well. We can only see it from outside as the temple can only be entered by those who are going to pray. I am always fascinated by the temples being erected and tended here in Bali. So elaborated and artistic at the same time. There are a few statues as well with some offerings on the table, which makes Bali famous for being religiously unique and solemn.

I have made a video as well about my sunrise walk and morning beach stroll at Nusa Dua and Nusa Dharma Island in Bali. Feel free to watch it on my YouTube channel.

So what do you think about the Nusa Dua Beach and Nusa Dharma Island? Will you stroll around the area as well?

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple Girl, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

Hi everyone..

I would like to say merry Christmas to those we are celebrating it! May the holiday spirit keep us blessed and abundant in this trying time. Stay safe, happy and healthy!

We have just finished getting the report card for the kids and they have been doing well. I am so glad that Bo et Obi can still follow all the lessons smoothly although they haven't had any physical meetings this year. They have been working hard on focusing their studies amidst the challenges they faced during online classes, including time management and self - discipline. We are now talking about starting the class with strict health protocol this January but the school as well as the authorities are still accessing the situation.

We do have more stringent protocol heading to the Christmas and New Year break, where many people are intending to travel and spend some times on holidays. Now every travelers coming and going to 5 particular provinces, namely Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java and Bali, has to have proof of negative Antigen test or PCR test. It might be expensive but it's a good way of curbing the infection and controlling the pandemic.

Anyway, I haven't really thought of what to do during this break. Perhaps we are just going swimming in the apartment (not the open public one) or cooking something special. Well, we'll see. Meanwhile, staying healthy is our priority!

Now, it's time to enjoy our Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple Girl, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends. Join us!

WW: Monkey Forest, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

The Monkey Forest, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

One of the must-see attractions in Ubud is the Monkey Forest, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.

This sacred place offers not only the quirky up-close-and-personal encounter with the smart monkeys in their loving home, but also plush tropical jungle and ceremonious temples.

The Monkey Forest, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

My family and I arrived here before lunch and we spent around 1.5 hours trekking the wooden path and meeting those cute monkeys. We bought the ticket at the entrance gate which costs us 60K Rupiah per adult and 30K Rupiah for kids under 12.

my daughter Obi was so curious about these monkeys

Well, at first we thought it might be a bit scary to be that close with the monkeys. And we are not talking about 1,2, or 3 monkeys, but lots of lots of them although you don't always see them. Nevertheless, if we follow all the rules and regulations, we can definitely enjoy this sacred ground. For sure, you should not feed the monkey and don't look them in the eyes as that is the sign of aggression.

Here are a few photos we took on the visit.

Every monkey seems busy with their own business :)

I was fascinated to see the monkeys against the backdrop of beautiful forest. Yet we were heading back to Jakarta that day and we needed to catch the flight. I really recommend this place and hope you will get a chance to visit it.
