WW: De Ranch Lembang, Indonesia

Welcome back, people.

Weekend just passed and we had a wonderful one indeed!
Spending 3 days in Bandung (partly mixed with my works and meetings), the Frakarsas,  ma petite famille, managed to enjoy Bandung at its best.

Bandung, the capital city of West Java Province, has long been known as the paradise for creativity, - be it in the forms of fashion, culinary, music, art performances and more,- as well as wonderful weather and gorgeous landscapes.

This time, we drove to Lembang, another popular spot near bandung which is located n the upper part or at the feet of Tangkuban Perahu mountain. It took us around 50 minutes drive from Dago, Bandung.

Destination: De Ranch Lembang

De Ranch in Lembang is the place where you can have family-packed adventures in the open farm with wonderful landscape. Here we can try horse or pony riding, horse-cart or Delman ride, fun boat trip, gold hunter, fishing and more!

My daughter Obi loves horses and ponies so much.
Obviously, she wanted us to take all those rides and since I couldn't ride the horse (I'm too fat for it, that's what they said his), we took the delman trip followed by the horse trip for Obi and my hubby.

Before enjoying the horse riding, we took a walk along the farm and it was lovely!
We took pictures of the horses and since the warning that horses can bite and kick, we pretty much took a safe distance.

The surrounding area is also beautiful.
Green lush forest framing the majestic Tangkuban Perahu mountain, fresh purple-and-pink wild flowers spreading on the field. Not to mention the fresh, clean cool air we breath.

beautiful purple flowers
The delman ride was also fun!
The three of us, - Bo, Obi and I (three persons maximum in this cart) rode this traditional horse-drawn carriage around the farm for about 20 minutes.
Not bad at all!

Fun boat ride!

What we loved most is the horse-riding of course.
My hubby and Obi were truly enjoying their ride!

Cheers..
For sure, I will share more on the next post.
Stick around and will be happily back with more only for you!

Review of Fenty Beauty Match Stix in Sinamon

Back to my beauty trunk and let's see what I have today!
Review of Fenty Beauty Match Six in Sinamon.

Anybody likes using highlighters?
I do too!

Highlighters have been booming since the last 5 years and nowadays we have more and more choices when it comes to using these beautiful products.

Why I love highlighter

I love using highlighter.

Do you want to know why?
As the name suggested, highlighter is used to highlight our favorite features on our face.
For sure, we have so many choices of colors and shades that you can choose now, starting from the powder or liquid ones, - probably most popular,- as well as stick and brick.

One thing for sure, I love using highlighter because it gives great contouring to my face.

Highlighter, as the name suggested, is used to highlight the feature of our face which we want to focus on. In my case, I usually use it on my cheeks, eyes, nose and chin.

Well, we have different feature obviously but usually, as I have read in many sources and tried myself in one of the free make-up courses I took, I used highlighter in 7 different spots on our face. Do you want to know where exactly they are?

Those places, among others, are:
- cheekbones (my favorite place indeed!)
- the tip or bridge of our nose
- cupid's bow
- forehead center
- beneath the arch of our brows
- above the arch of our brows
- chin center

You see, so many choices for the place on our face where you can apply your favorite highlighter.

The challenge to find the right highlighter for us continues as we will have to see not only the shades but also the way it blends with our skin.
I have been using several highlighters, including the ones from Anastasia Beverly Hills, Sephora, and Huda Beauty. I will be reviewing them but I will now start with my favourite, Match stix Fenty Beauty  in Sinamon.

I guess many of you have heard of Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, right?
Rihanna has been a famous singer and this Caribbean beauty (born and raised in Barbados) certainly works on being a leading entrepreneur, including in cosmetic world. And I am one of her fans!

Match Stix Fenty Beauty in Sinamon

So now let's get down to business and here's my review for Match stix Fenty Beauty - Sinamon.

"A magnetized highlighter stick in a longwear, light-as-air formula to highlight, blush, and bronze in 10 colorful shades that let you play".

That's the claim I read from fentibeauty.com about this Match Stix.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna

What is a match stix by the way?
It's one of the most-wanted products from Fenty Beauty which comes in various shades and different finish, either SHIMMER or MATTE. And as the packaging is formed in a a certain way and coming with magnet, they can stick to one another with different shades.

Function as highlighter, blush, and even eye shadow, I love match six from Fenty Beauty in Sinamon. The version I use is shimmer skinstick and tt's the perfect shade for my skin complexion as well.

THE SHADE

The shade that I use is called Sinamon.
It's pretty much a shimmer one with copper - based tone and it falls under Cinnamon Bronze group.

the swatch ..

This is how it looks on my skin.
It's pretty, isn't it?
You can see how it shimmers and really highlights my skin.

Moreover, it feels good on my skin too.
No breakout, no itchy feeling, not hotness and IT STAYS!
I have been using this product for my eyes, cheeks, lips, nose, and chin and this is how it looks.

It's not always that easy to find the right way of doing it.

look tired, but I still love it!

On another occasion, I have used it as well for my cheeks only and I love the look!

I love this highlighter sooo much!

THE INGREDIENTS

The ingredients of Sinamon are, among others: mica, ethylhexyl isononanoate, octyldodecanol, polymethyl methacrylate, sucrose acetate isobutyrate, c20-40 alcohols, paraffin, tribehenin, polyethylene, vp/eicosene copolymer, vp/hexadecene copolymer, diisostearyl malate, cera microcristallina/microcrystalline wax/cire microcristalline, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, tocopheryl acetate, hexylene glycol, tocopherol, isostearyl alcohol, ascorbyl palmitate, malic acid, and calcium sodium borosilicate.

So far I found it all safe.

THE PACKAGING

The packaging is lovely. It's like a sturdy plastic container in choco milk color.
Fenty Beauty is written in silver font in one of the side and the name of the shade is written underneath.  It looks neat.
You have to roll it up to get the highlighter out.

THE PRICE

The price of this collection is USD 25 before taxes (depending on where you buy it, but in NYC it becomes around USD 31 after the VAT) and I bought it in Sephora Times Square New York City. As always, it's always been my favorite spot!

Repurchase? Yes, yes, yes... And I gues I might try and explore other shades.
Sepertinya aku tertarik untuk mencoba shades yang matte dan melihat hasilnya di kulitku.

So, how do you like it?
Have you tried other Fenty products?
Do you think you will like the shimmer or the matte finishing?
Do you have your favorite collection when it comes to highlighter?
Will you buy this one?

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and friends

Gedung Sate, one of Bandung's landmarks
This week has been another busy one for me and my family.

I have been doing some traveling for works as well and this time I was heading to Bandung, Paris Van Java.

Bandung has been special for us, Indonesians, as it is a historical city where the struggle against the colonials were once centered.
Bandung is filled with lovely parks, beautiful retro buildings, romantic ambiance in its old city part, and for sure culinary haven! Not to mention its museums and beautiful landscapes of hills, valleys, rivers, waterfalls and more.

And I have so many blogger friends here as well! whenever I can, I always try to meet them after my meetings and just have some chit chats or try new restaurants. Really appreciate their friendship indeed!

In the last 2 months, I have been coming back and forth to this beautiful city and I just love it. The good thing is we can use the train service as well and it's so comfortable. With the ticket starting from IDR 100.000,- or USD 7,- one way, it is very manageable. Check WW: Bandung - Jakarta by Train for more photos I took along the way. Beautiful and green!

Well, I guess I will have to make one dedicated post for Bandung.

And back at home, we had been working on new place for our three cats,- Plum, Kiki and Ms C or Cemong. We have been trying our best to ensure they are comfortable but at the same time

WW: The Council Chamber, Palais des Nations Geneva

Hi there!
Allow me to invite you all to continue our journey at Palais des Nations, or the Palace of the Nations - United Nations Headquarters at Geneve, Switzerland 🇨🇭.

Last time, I took you to Room XX or Alliance of Civilization Room,  commissioned by the Government of Kingdom of Spain which spent around € 20 Million. As I have showed you in WW: Mini Me, Batik, and Room XX Palais des Nations, this place looks spectacular with its super unique ceillings, filled with colorful stalactites.

Now, I will show you one of the most historical parts of Palais des Nations.
The Council Chamber.

Welcome to the Council Chamber

I just love the wonderful mural painted by José Maria Sent, wonderful Catalan artist

The Council Chamber has been very well known for its exquisite design and the fact that it has been used since the era of the League of Nations, the international organization which started what the United Nations is now. Many important issues have been discussed in this very room, including the Gulf war and disarmaments.

Wanna know more about the history of this very room?
Stick around then. I will definitely share more on the next post.
Meanwhile, enjoy some of these photos and tell me which on is your favorite!
