Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls, and Friends

I just turned 43!

Hppy happy birthday to me :)

It was quite a celebration amidst the pandemic. But again, what we have to celebrate is the fact that we all are still safe, happy and healthy up until now! Glad to know my family and I continued to be bestowed with His Blessings. May Allah SWT protect us till the end of time.

Last week I had a rapid test and it was reactive. I wasn’t  feeling 100% while taking the test after my trip to Lampung. Then the swab test came back negative so I’m so relieved. I had my rapid test in my office Kemlu, then had to follow up for the swab test in Yarsi hospital. It was fast and not that painful, just uncomfortable. But it took only a few minutes. I have to wait for two days for the result and I have to admit that I was agitated. Well, good thing it ends well. I sincerely hope we all stay safe and healthy, wherever we are.

Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Independence Day is coming as well!

WW: SD Pasar Pulau Pisang, Pesisir Barat, Lampung

Still from Pulau Pisang or the Banana Island, Pesisir Barat, Lampung.

Besides its wonderful beaches, we also enjoyed a little tour around the island. One of the landmarks here is the elementary school or SD Pasar Pulau Pisang, Pesisir Barat, Lampung. This school is special as it was built by the Dutch ages ago and still stand strong till now through the test of time. The wood panels are original and not yet changed. Up until now.

We stopped by here and since the place is gorgeous, we took the liberty to have a mini photo session here :)

Pendidikan memang kunci penting kemajuan bangsa.

Bahagia melihat SD Pasar Pulau Pisang ini masih berdiri kokoh hingga sekarang, walaupun dindingnya terbuat dari kayu. Dibangun oleh orang Belanda dan hingga sekarang masih aktif dipakai (sejak COVID -19 anak - anak belajar dari rumah), kami diajak Orin, pemandu wisata lokal di sini, untuk mengunjungi sekolahnya.

Cakep!

Makanya langsung deeh kami bergayaaa 😎🤣😎. Pas lagi dengan si merah ♥️.

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls, and Friends

Welcome, August!

The 8th month of the year is here and it has always been my favourite. Beside the festive December, where most of my loved ones were born, August is my birth month and the Republic of Indonesia, my lovely country. Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also enjoy its 75th anniversary this month. 

We have so many excited plans but again as I mentioned in many previous posts, we still have to be CAUTIOUS with the pandemic. We did have some traveling but masks were on, hand sanitizers were always available, and physical distancing were maintained. Well, I have to admit sometimes we saw many are super relaxed with all these health protocol. I keep telling people to put on their masks and keep some space. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Well, as I said, we did some travel and this time we went to Pulau Pisang, or literally translated as Banana Island, in the western coast of Lampung, my hometown. the view is amazing!

Sejak pandangan pertama melihat pulau seluas 2.310 hektar ini, kami sekeluarga terpukau dengan pantai pasir putihnya, air toska bening, samudera tak berujung dan deru ombak yang menghanyutkan. Aaah... makin cinta aku dengan Lampung yang kereeen ♥️♥️♥️ .

To all my dearest friends and family who celebrate it...

Eid Ul Adha Mubarak

May Allah SWT forgive us and bestow us with endless blessings and willingness to share kindness to others.

This pandemic has posed so many unprecedented challenges to our day-to-day lives and there is no better time to help one another than now. The exemplary deeds of Prophet Abraham taught us how to believe in our Rabb and be thoughtful to others. How we can survive many life hurdles if we help one another, particularly in difficult times like this.

I sincerely hope we all have a chance to enjoy this festive time with our loved ones.

We went back to Lampung with all its health protocol and submit our 'kurban' here to the mosque near my home in Lampung. During Eid prayer, we followed the healthy protocol as well and keep our distance, wear our masks, and wash our hands. I hope we all will always be under His protection.
