Els Coffee Roastery Lampung, More Than Just A Coffee Shop

LAMPUNG.

I am welcoming myself back to my beloved home town once again.

Before departing to Wellington, New Zealand, for my next assignment, my family and I visit Lampung again to meet our big family and run some errands, including joining series of events for Lampung Krakatau Festival 2021.

This time, I took the liberty to take a closer look at the famous Els Coffee Roastery. This is my second visit here, but the first one was rather in a hurry. So now, I decided to linger for a while and enjoy the roasting process, done live in this very spot. No wonder the amazing smell or roasting coffee welcomes you as you step in to this premise.

Frankly, this is not the first roastery that I have visited, but surely the first one in Lampung that I visited in Lampung. Surely I didn't miss the opportunity to stream my visit this time live on my YouTube channel, as you can see it here.

During my visit this time, together with around 30 bloggers, vloggers, influencers and content creators from many parts of Indonesia, we witnessed the roasting process, watched the latte art and for sure, enjoyed the coffee, tea and munchies provided here. Our Baristas, Albert and Arles, patiently answered questions from curious bloggers and even posed for us with their works of arts. As you can see here, the lovely heart and graceful swan danced on your cup, makes you think and rethink before sipping your delicious Lampung robusta coffee.

enjoy your coffee

say hi to our baristas

Els Coffee Roastery also sells beans and ground coffee, not only from Lampung but also from various parts of Indonesia like Pagaralam, Wamena, Kintamani and more. You can also get Kopi Luwak, the most expensive one! I myself bought their packages of Golden Lampung Robusta with a bonus of Durian Coffee! What a treat!

the Roastery...

the Durian Coffee.. dare to try?

Another beautiful thing I love from this place is the interior design the owner, Elki, decided to showcase. The string arts beautifully made by made by disabled people and macrame art made by Lampungnese artists are adorning this roastery.

don't you just love it!

I love this coffee flowers decor..

the lovely interior design in Els Coffee Roastery

The exact location of Els Coffee Roastery is in Kalibalau, Sukabumi, Bandar Lampung

Surely the team joining Lampung Familiarization Trip 2021, as part of the Lampung Krakatau Festival 2021, had a blast in this cool cafe and roastery. Thanks to Lampung Tourism Board or Dinas Pariwisata Lampung for inviting us to be part of this amazing journey. Pak Edarwan, the Head of the Board, as well as Elki, the owner of Els Coffee Roastery had welcomed us all here as well. Not to mention the Organizing Committee lead by Ari Tomat and Rika. Kuddos, guys!

So, don't miss the opportunity to come and visit this lovely cafe and roastery, where you can definitely get the unforgettable experience in your coffee journey.

Enjoy!

Welcome back to Bandung

Hello again and happy to welcome you all back here.

I am still traveling around and this time got the chance to go back to Bandung, Paris van Java. Bandung is the perfect culinary destination and since I am going to be away from my beloved Indonesia for quite some times, I used this opportunity to stop by at so many familiar as well as new places to taste the legendary cuisines from Tanah Pasundan.

Kartika Sari outlet in Dago, Bandung

For sure I tried batagor Kingsley, mie ayam or the chicken noodles, kupat tahu, karedok, es cendol Elizabeth, tempe and sale goreng Sindang Laris Pasar Kosambi, pastries from Kartika Sari, and more Sundanese food. To those who love this type of food, you will know that I am going crazy with all of them. Well, of course I did take my routing 8K-steps per day and try to balance all the calories I have taken. Many of those yummy food are for take-away as well so I bought a big pack of various munchies and snack from Bandung to Lampung. One big box, my dear, with extra bags also filled with various yummy delicacies.

thank you so much everyone...

Here, I also had my not-farewell-but-see-you-again party with my office at Noah's Barn, one of the hippest bars/cafes in town. It was really a bitter sweet moment and for us, those who join the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this is part of our routine. That is why we never really say goodbye but more like finishing one episode and move to the new one, where you might definitely cross path again.

So, that's my little story this week. Now, ready to join Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends? Jump in!

WW: Enjoying sunrise at Pinggan Village, Kintamani, Bali

Enjoying sunrise at Pinggan Village, Kintamani, Bali

Love watching sunrise?

That makes the two of us then!

On my last trip to Bali, I managed to visit Kintamani, one of the mountainous and hilly parts of Bali, and spent a night there. We chased the sunrise at one of the famous spots in Kintamani called Pohon Cinta or the tree of love, located near Desa Pinggan or Pinggan Village.

the view that morning

Here are some photos I took, together with some friends from Jakarta and Bali Local Guides. We took turn to take pictures one by one while enjoying the lovely sunrise and watching the village beautifully  engulfed by the mist.

I have to say I fell in love instantly and really hope I can go back here again. It is quite far from Nusa Dua, Bali, though. It took me around 4 hours drive to reach Kintamani. But for sure, it's worth it. And we woke up at 3.30, took the short drive to the spot, stopped for a while at the local mosque and continued the trip until we reached the place.

one misty morning

happy me :)

still misty morning indeed

Celebrating Life, Surviving Breast Cancer

October is almost gone and what a busy month!

I have been working on so many event campaigning Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I really appreciate the love, the attention and the support from many of you, dear friends. As a breast cancer survivor, I know how things can be super tough while fighting those cancer cells. Any love and support will certainly help us get through it.

I had and will have more sharing sessions in the fight against breast cancer. Some are conducted in IG Live, some through Google Meets with Google Local Guides across the world. I sincerely hope that this series of sharing session will bring benefits to those who need more information about how to early detect, avoid, recognize, and treat breast cancer.  If you are available, come and join us. Here's the information on the meet - up we will have. CLICK HERE.

Meanwhile, the preparation for our Wellington assignment is getting more and more nerve-wrecking. I know I will be juggling with my time between taking care of my kids' school and all their needs, finishing the ongoing works in the office, cleaning up the house, packing, selling the car, advertising our house for rent and attending all those farewell parties. Hangin' there, Indah LOL. I am overwhelmed by the love and the support from everyone. I can't never thank you all enough.

And now, it's time to PARTY! join us in
