WW: Eid Al-Fitr Family Photos

One of the traditions during Eid Al-Fitr celebration is the family portraits. Well, under ideal and normal circumstances most of us will us this auspicious occasion to gather with the complete big family. That is why the family portrait is pack and parcel with this happy day. It wasn't really a fancy session as we only use our phones to take these pictures. These days we all want to be practical, right!

So we took our phones and set it on the tripod. connecting the clicker, we have series of photos taken in seconds.

How is May treating you?

I hope all is well and amidst the constant worrying and confusing time due to the on-going COVID -19 pandemic and all its new variants, I found myself struggling with time and workload management. Well, I just don't know what to do first some times and how to ensure I am not out stretched with whatever I have to work on. Work load can be extremely demanding and it doesn't care whether it is Ramadhan, Eid Al Fitr or the weekends. They keep coming and bombarding me unfortunately. We have series of high level meetings on urgent issues that become the world's attention. Statements, press releases, pointers and endless communication with many stakeholders including those outside of our time zones take all the energy, time. and concentration. But I have to keep the spirit up and finish things up so I can continue working on something else, possibly something more fun!

Stay strong and happy...

Meanwhile at home, the kids are still enjoying their Eid l Fitr break. It was 2 full weeks and since we cannot freely go out or visit some tourism objects, we mostly stay at home and enjoy what we can enjoy at home. We watched movies together, read books and played the games. We had fun with the kittens at home and Ink, PJ as well as Yellow are surely growing cute! They really help me keep my sanity at home.

We went to the mall once and it was packed with people so we only had a quick dinner after lining up for sometimes. Well, that's what happen during Lebaran Day break. People are going out to get food other than the rich, coconut-milk-loaded, once-in-a-year feast food we have at home. Well, at some point, I feel like I need to go out and feel the breeze. Being confined too long at home does not make me feel good, although I know I have to be extremely careful and fully observe the health protocol. 

Well, wherever we are, do stay safe, happy and healthy!

Eid Mubarak, dear friends!

The victorious day is here and my family and I were so blessed to be given the chance to celebrate it together in Jakarta. First time ever we have a complete formation of me and my family, my mom, my brothers' family (minus the youngest niece staying in Lampung) celebrating Eid al - Fitr in Jakarta. Usually we go back home to Lampung but this year we are not allowed to do so to curb the spread of the virus.

And at the same day, Wednesday, May 13th, 2021,  Ascension Day was celebrated, so happy Ascension Day to those celebrating it.

It has been an auspicious day filled with faith, love and joy for sure. May God bless us all! We all need all the peace, love and harmony among us all in this trying times. I am happy to see that in our daily life. Hopefully it will stay for as long as it is needed.

This year's lebaran day is still the same. We were not heading back to Lampung for mudik, as it is still forbidden. But my mom has been living with me in Jakarta since August last year and my brothers are in Jakarta as well. We didn't meet my husband's family because all of the are in Lampung but thanks to technology, video call is the new silahturahmi.

Well, I sincerely hope everyone gets the chance to celebrate Lebaran Day or Eid Al Fitr with their loved ones solemnly, peacefully and safely as well. Eid Mubarak!
