Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

I have been enjoying July pretty much.

After the drive - in graduation of my son, we are now gearing up for the Senior High School. Bismillahirrahmanirrahiiim. Wish him, and us luck. For sure he got so excited and I am so happy for him. 

I am so far getting back to the office. It is now working on 50% capacity and we definitely have tons of work indeed. Well, we will focus on domestic issues as international meetings are still closed.

WW: Drive-In Graduation at SMP Islam Tugasku, Jakarta

Pandemic has certainly changed our lives and habits, including in the education sector.

After learning or studying from home since March, my son, Bo, has finally finished his Junior High School last June. Virtual graduation was conducted and I shared it here as well (READ: Happy Graduation, Bo). Well, the kids were a bit sad and disappointed because they have actually prepared many activities to celebrate this milestone, including the students' party and graduation event. But since Corona virus is still looming, all those activities were cancelled.  

Then the teachers at his school, together with parents of the 9th grade, are taking things to higher level. Looking at the drive-in Graduation conducted in many schools abroad, the school decided to prepare the similar thing, still with strict health protocol.

And voila...we have this historic, first time ever Drive-In Graduation at SMP Islam Tugasku, Jakarta.

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls, and Friends

Last week of June and July is soon coming!

This week I have been tangled in works and activities in Google Local Guides as well as my son's 

graduation party. We are super excited indeed! After the virtual graduation we did last month (Read: Happy Graduation, Bo), they will have a drive-through type of graduation. Have you seen one before? Well, I will share it later once we have that on the 4th of July!

Speaking of which, happy 4th of July to all my American friends and families!

Independence Day will always be special, particularly as we are still in the middle of pandemic like this. I remembered watching the fireworks of the 4th of July 2017 in Long Island City, New York City. What a celebration indeed. We sat right across the UN Headquarters by the East River. Some of the photos had Empire State Building in the background. Enjoy some of the photos here.

I have been enjoying my old habit of singing in Smule, the karaoke application you have on your phone. I have been doing it since some time ago but then because I was busy, I didn't really have time to do it too often. Now, occasionally, when I have time, I look for my favorite songs and sing it to my heart's content. It makes me happy and I like that.

I hope all our kids know the reason we celebrate the 4th of July, it was the day We became America, the greatest country in the world, or at least I think so. We Love America!!
