WW: Snapshots of Berlin, Germany

Here are some snapshots of Berlin, Germany, where I visited this beautiful for about 4 days for meetings.
Have you been to Berlin before?

Bradenburg Gate ...
I didn't get to see the city too much as my meetings in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany were full. Somehow,  I managed to briefly visit the Brandenburg Gate, Concert House, Reichstag Building, Check Point Charlie, Memorial to the Murdered Jews and BMW Berlin.

I have visited this place before but that was more than 11 years ago. It is really nice to go back indeed.

I remember our days in Europe from 2007 - 2011 and again, Europe has its own ageless charm that hook me.

Konzerthaus Berlin

wish I could see it inside..but no time!

Cheers from mini me and I

The meeting we have on Women, Peace and Security

Well, here's what I managed to get.
Will certainly spill more stories and details after finishing the High Level Segment of Human Rights Council in Geneve this week. Meanwhile, sending love and kisses from Geneva.

The Joy of Doing Nothing in Bali

The Joy of Doing Nothing in Bali

Bali Rani Hotel, Kuta, Bali

I have been living in a fast lane lately, having stressful days filled with endless meetings, works and more. Coming back from New York City, Jakarta has even busier agenda for me.

So when I managed to have a little break in the Last Paradise on Earth (yes, that's what I read when I arrived in I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport :)), I know I have to benefit from it.
How?
Shopping? Exploring this gorgeous land of Gods and Goddesses? Having culinary trip?
Or simply doing nothing and enjoying the moment?

I chose the last one.

Frankly, I have been planning to do this and that after the series of meeting we had since the beginning of the week started.
You're in Bali, right. So better visit those beautiful spots and try some local cuisines as well as shop their stunning traditional art crafts.
But at the end of the day, I just realised that I was exhausted.
I am tired.
And I missed my family terribly.
I lost my appetite for an adventurous day.

Let's chill..

So, there I was...just sitting by the pool, admiring the clear blue sky and peaceful sound of flowing water.
I really need this, just to recharge my heart and soul.
To be forever grateful for all My Rabb's bless.

And the blue sky is my refuge.

Thank you so much, Bali.
And stay fabulous!

Thank you!

Burning Sky

Enjoying the burning sky as I headed home.
Astoria Park is such a wonderful place to see the burning sky.
Merci ya Rabb, the Most Merciful, for all this breathtaking beauty we enjoy.

This is what I saw when I stepped out of the N line at Astoria Boulevard.

Spring at Madison Square Park, NYC

Enjoying spring so far?
Just like me then.
I hope you won't have issues with pollen and allergies during this colorful season, so that you can enjoy it fully.

don't you just love it!

I went strolling around the Flatiron and Madison Square Park a few weeks ago.
I always love this area as it has beautiful park, Flatiron as one of the NYC landmark, and Eataly, one of my favorite stores and restaurants.
The Madison Square Garden itself is a public park located in Flatiron and NoMad area.
Officially opened as a public park in 1847, the Park dubbed its name from President James Madison, who was heading the US in 1814.

NoMad itself stands for North of Madison Square Park and it's quite self-explanatory.
Boosted with hip hang-out places, cool cafes and beautiful garden, this park is indeed one of my favorite as it's not that from my office.

Love the blooming flowers

This spring, this park is blooming with beautiful flowers and art works!
I truly enjoy lovely hydrangeas, hollies, redbuds, and more here.
Chirping birds singing happy songs make it even more magical.
Feels like strolling around the garden of eden!

We can also see Empire State Building, another landmark of the Big Apple, from different angles here.
I just love to experience with my phone and take pictures here and there.

And as you can see, it was a beautiful spring day.
Although the sky was not that blue, but the popping colors from the trees, potted plants and the surroundings really boost up my spirit!
Who wouldn't love those rose tulips coming in different shades.

And there, as you walk around the corner, you will see the Flatiron standing majestically.
I have taken pictures of Flatiron so many times, including Flatiron in Black and White posted before, but still it never fails to amaze me whenever I'm around.
So here's another shot of this cool architecture only for you, with grayish sky in the backdrop.
Looking at all this beautiful part of the world, I can't stop admiring My Lord for all His blessings and kindness.

"So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me."

A Little Walk at Shibuya

Here are some snaps I took when I had a little walk at Shibuya, Tokyo, which is well-known for its super crowded yet neat crossings and Hachiko statue, the dog famous for its loyalty to its owner. I believe my kids will love to see this statue and hear more about the story of Hachiko.

Don't miss Shibuya when you are around Tokyo.
Very interesting to see this spot with its eclectic crowd.
