It was almost 2 AM in the morning...
I suddenly felt my hubby, Udi, was waking up and rushing to the room next door. Obi, our daughter, was crying. She had a nightmare... And Udi's soothing words calmed her.
The other day, Bo was enjoying his scooter. And Udi, being an avid biker, dilligently taught him some new moves and tricks with the scooter. At first, Bo was afraid. Well, jumping around with the scooter is not that easy but Udi, with his encouraging words, ensured Bo to be self-confident and try it safely. And after a few tries, Bo did it :).
As for me, there were countless moments where I couldn't do much with my munchkin's help and presence. Especially since I started my battle against breast cancer.
Bapak, or father in bahasa Indonesia, our mother tongue, will always be our hero.
He might not be that 'cool' dad you see on TV but he is always there for all of us.
