Diving trip to Green Stone and Kelagian Island Lampung

Is that a sea snake?

It was my second dive that day and together with my group as well as my diving buddy, we went down to Kelagian island, after enjoying our first dive in Green Stone area, near Tanjung Putus Lampung. We just had our photo session underwater when I saw that slithering move of sea snake. And boy, it was a big one! My buddy and I were looking at each other and we took the videos as well as the photos from safe distance. We were a bit afraid but we knew what we have to do when we saw sea snake and again, try to keep the safe distance.

And my friend, that's the last diving trip I had in Lampung before leaving to New Zealand.

It was a wonderful Saturday.

Diving trip to Green Stone and Kelagian Island Lampung

The sun was shining, although not too scorchingly hot. The wind was not that strong and we enjoyed the boat ride we took from Ketapang port heading to Green Stone. Ketapang port was packed with visitors. Looks like things are improving and tourism is starting to pick up the pace again. I was glad to see that people are wearing the masks all the time and safe distance is indeed maintain.

So we started the journey at 9 AM and we had our first dive at 11 A. It took around 1.5 hour ride to reach the first spot and we settled the equipments for a while.

My first dive took around 74 minutes and what a dive! I really had so much time and feels like the ocean is smiling to me! We have great visibility, wonderful objects to enjoy, record and photo.

great visibility indeed

We stopped by at Green Bay Resort, Tanjung Putus area for lunch. It was as beautiful as ever. We had Padangnese food but there, the owner, Ko Aling, who happens to be my diving buddy as well, welcomed us and offered us some seafood platters. Super yum indeed!

Then we headed to the second spot, Kelagian island, for the second dive. That's where we saw the snake.

On our way back home, we  finally enjoyed the famous sunset in Lampung Bay. It has been a wonderful day at Lampung and amazing diving trip as always. I can't wait to go back here again, although perhaps I will have to wait for quite some times.

Thank you so much, Lampung

Stay fabulous, Lampung, and see you again soon.

WW: Dining at Noah's Barn Cafe, Bandung

Dining at Noah's Barn Cafe, Bandung

Lately I have many farewell parties (although I'd prefer to call it see-you-again-soon party) to attend.

One of them is in Bandung, when my office had a big meeting there. We were dining at Noah's Barn Cafe, Bandung, and I really love the place.

the meeting room.. but we choose the outdoor area

The place is super comfy and it does remind us of Noah's Ark, complete with various animals (well, their statues only of course, not the real one) as well as wooden accent that resembles the boat.

I also love the fact that this place is spacious with a lot of open spaces and greeneries. They have meeting rooms as well as upstairs sofas and corners. The health protocol was observed as well.

The food is yum, although I though the service was a bit slow that day because it was quite full. Well, my group consists of around 20 people so we packed the place with our own.

Wanna know what we ordered that day?

We booked for around 20 people and although it was raining, all of us came down here and enjoyed the evening together.

we ordered fried rice, mushroom soup, fried mushroom, cheese and spinach roll, ayam geprek or the spicy chicken and grilled ribs, pizzas, spaghetti, steak, ice cream, carrot cake and more. It was a lovely dinner for sure.

So, will you come by and try the food here at Noah's Barn Cafe, Bandung?

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

Brilliant sky at Lampung Bay

We have been enjoying Lampung so much on our last days before departing to Wellington, New Zealand.

After joining Lampung Krakatau Festival 2021 and Lampung Familiarization Trip 2021, I extended our stay in Lampung up to 2 weeks. We certainly had a blast. Not only that we explore some places we haven't visited before such as Lamban Gedung Kuning, Sebalang Beach, Lamban Batik Lampung and Lampung museum, we got a chance to meet our family and friends. It has been weeks filled with trips, laughters, comfort food and lots of love.

I also took the kids to new places like bee farm in Batu Putu and tried sibori ecoprint technique. It was quite an experience for us.

Not to mention ziarah, visiting the graves of our beloved families. My late dad, grandparents from both sides, as well as our uncle's graves were visited by us. It becomes sort of a custom that brings me comfort as well, sending our best prayers to those who have passed before us. I really miss my dad. I always sort of 'report' and talked to him whenever I can, including in important events such us our assignment. May Allah SWT always protect and love him in heaven.

Well, next, I have my diving trip and more farewell parties to attend. May we all stay safe, happy and healthy. Always.

Els Coffee Roastery Lampung, More Than Just A Coffee Shop

LAMPUNG.

I am welcoming myself back to my beloved home town once again.

Before departing to Wellington, New Zealand, for my next assignment, my family and I visit Lampung again to meet our big family and run some errands, including joining series of events for Lampung Krakatau Festival 2021.

This time, I took the liberty to take a closer look at the famous Els Coffee Roastery. This is my second visit here, but the first one was rather in a hurry. So now, I decided to linger for a while and enjoy the roasting process, done live in this very spot. No wonder the amazing smell or roasting coffee welcomes you as you step in to this premise.

Frankly, this is not the first roastery that I have visited, but surely the first one in Lampung that I visited in Lampung. Surely I didn't miss the opportunity to stream my visit this time live on my YouTube channel, as you can see it here.

During my visit this time, together with around 30 bloggers, vloggers, influencers and content creators from many parts of Indonesia, we witnessed the roasting process, watched the latte art and for sure, enjoyed the coffee, tea and munchies provided here. Our Baristas, Albert and Arles, patiently answered questions from curious bloggers and even posed for us with their works of arts. As you can see here, the lovely heart and graceful swan danced on your cup, makes you think and rethink before sipping your delicious Lampung robusta coffee.

enjoy your coffee

say hi to our baristas

Els Coffee Roastery also sells beans and ground coffee, not only from Lampung but also from various parts of Indonesia like Pagaralam, Wamena, Kintamani and more. You can also get Kopi Luwak, the most expensive one! I myself bought their packages of Golden Lampung Robusta with a bonus of Durian Coffee! What a treat!

the Roastery...

the Durian Coffee.. dare to try?

Another beautiful thing I love from this place is the interior design the owner, Elki, decided to showcase. The string arts beautifully made by made by disabled people and macrame art made by Lampungnese artists are adorning this roastery.

don't you just love it!

I love this coffee flowers decor..

the lovely interior design in Els Coffee Roastery

The exact location of Els Coffee Roastery is in Kalibalau, Sukabumi, Bandar Lampung

Surely the team joining Lampung Familiarization Trip 2021, as part of the Lampung Krakatau Festival 2021, had a blast in this cool cafe and roastery. Thanks to Lampung Tourism Board or Dinas Pariwisata Lampung for inviting us to be part of this amazing journey. Pak Edarwan, the Head of the Board, as well as Elki, the owner of Els Coffee Roastery had welcomed us all here as well. Not to mention the Organizing Committee lead by Ari Tomat and Rika. Kuddos, guys!

Mr. Edarwan, the Head of Lampung Tourism Board

Elki, the Owner of Els Coffee

So, don't miss the opportunity to come and visit this lovely cafe and roastery, where you can definitely get the unforgettable experience in your coffee journey.

Enjoy!
