Bo et Obi's Diary : Ngayogyakarta Holiday..Majestic Jogjakarta

Libur Waisak yang lalu (aduuuh...bukannya udah lama :D), Mama Bo et Obi plus Bapak punya rencana nekad...

Mau moto prosesi waisak di Borobudur...

Yup, the Vesak procession in Borobudur Temple...How cool is that? :D
Just once in a year, the procession has been sacredly conducted by monks and Buddhists from many parts of Indonesia... 

Wuhuuuu...salah satu cita-cita yang memang ingin diwujudkan sejak lama..
Soalnya, proses Waisak yang dilakukan di Candi Borobudur benar-benar terkenal di mana-mana. Bukan hanya bagi fotografer Indonesia, tapi juga dunia, terutama proses melepas ribuan ampion di penghujung acara. Cantik...dan magis, karena berbalut ritual religious dengan latar belakang Candi Borobudur yang megah. Kalau cek di google, bener-bener bikin 'ngileeer' "D...

After checking things here and there, we both were so determined to get this once-a-year experience first hand..So, in 2 days, tickets, hotels, rental car were all booked! Of course it was not that easy at all as people have booked the best spots even months ago...But we were so excited about the trip and God helps us all :D...

Belum lagi kesempatan untuk melihat Jogjakarta dan sekitarnyaaaa...
Well, can't wait can't wait...

But...wait a minute....this time, we will take Bo et Obi as well....not really our first vacation together since we came back to Indonesia (I considered our short trips back and forth to Lampung as vacation as well), but again thorough preparation has to be done.

One afternoon in Prambanan Temple....

Dan di mana-mana, rencana nekad memang diiringi dengan tekad nekad dan impromptu...
Nekad pesan tiket, nekad pesan hotel, nekad susun itinerary 'gila' dan nekad izin setengah hari...

Dan ternyata, walaupun blangblonteng sana sini..all in all kami sangat menikmati 'liburan' singkat dan mendadak ini berempat :D...Buat saya, bisa berempat jalan-jalan bareng bener-bener surgaaa...

Ceritanya  ini itinerary nekad a la mama Bo et Obi:
Jumat:  sore kita berangkat dari Jakarta menuju Jogjakarta
Sabtu: seharian di Johjakarta dan sekitarnya...sore menuju Magelang dan menginap di sana
Minggu : dari subuh naik ke Punthu Setumbu, foto2, turun 'gunung' menuju Candi Borobudur, sore pulang ke Jogjakarta dan malam flight back to Jakarta :D...

Memang, dengan berat hari kami meninggalkan Borobudur sebelum proses lepas lampion...tapi oooh tapi, ini semua memang sudah diatur Yang Kuasa...proses tersebut dibatalkan karena hujan yang deraass melanda Candi Borobudur dari sore di hari itu. Jadi, kami ngg rugi-rugi amaat dong hehehe...

JUMAT - FRIDAY

Our flight was in the afternoon...nothing much happening as we were so tired for being too excited :D....

SABTU

 Waking up early in the morning...we were rushing for breakfast..before arriving at the restaurant, we stopped by in the middle of the corridor to see Merapi mountain majestically posed afar..

Then our first destination is the Jogjakarta Palace.....
More stories on the Palace will follow, perhaps after my soon-to-be-my-5th-visit-to-Jogja :D....

Bo was so busy taking pictures..hijacking mama's camera :D...

Dari Keraton, kami berempat naik becak keliling-keliling......seruuuu banget...maklum, Bo et Obi jarang naik becak hehehe....bukannya ngg suka, tapi di Jakarta, becak sudah mulai sangaaat sangaaaat langka, bahkan mungkin sudah ngg ada lagi ya....

Rickshaw, or Becak in bahasa Indonesia, is one of the traditional and fun ways of transporting from one spot to another in short distance.. In Jogjakarta, Becak ride is super duper fun...and 2 becaks took us to our next stop, Tamansari...

Becak, or ricksaw (I hope I translated it correctly) is surely adding the extra flavour to our journey in Jogjakarta ...

Before heading to Magelang, where we were going to spend the night before we watch the Vesak procession, we didn't miss the opportunity to visit Prambanan Temple..
Another historical landmark indeed, filled with legends and folklores....
And magical...

Bo et Obi on playful mode hereeee....

MINGGU - SUNDAY

We had busy schedule indeed....First, waking up at 3.30 am...heading to Punthuk Setumbu, to watch the sunrise...

and we french-kissed the morning.....
