Quest on the Terrace, A Compact Aparthotel in the heart of Wellington

Kia Ora!

I hope everyone is fine and just like us, the Frakarsas, you find everyday a brand new adventure. We are now entering the third week of our journey in the land of Kiwis. Since arriving in Wellington, we have lived temporarily in Quest on the Terrace

An apart hotel resides in the heart of Wellington City, Quest on the Terrace has been well-known as a hub for those staying in the city for a long period of time or those who just briefly visit the city.

We have booked this place for one month stay. Well, until the end of December, we will be staying here. Good thing I have already found the house for us and I will definitely share the story of this homey home-away-from-home on the next post.

So, let's take a closer look at
Quest on the Terrace.

I got the 2-bed room apartment with daily service (except on Sunday and public holiday). I have one double bed for my and my hubby and 2 single beds for my kids, temporarily.

It has complete kitchen, with stoves, oven, hood, fridge, microwave, toaster, utensils and dishwasher.  Dinnerwares and cookwares that can cater 4-6 peoples are also available.

Before I go further, I just have to point out that I have wonderful view of the houses on the hills (so Wellington) from my living room.

the lovely view from my living room

We have the living room and one bathroom with toilet and washing machine as well. You get your flat screen TV, Sky box (for extra channel and entertainment) and in-room phone. The living room have love seat comfy sofa.

We also have the dining table for 4 as well.

Really a comfort of home, although now it's packed with out big luggages.

Oh, and we also have access to the gym, which is located two-buildings away and it has pool as well! I have to admit I haven't tried it but I will definitely do that. Soon!

The lobby is also comfortable. Well, not too big or too fancy but it's lovely and it has receptionist who will be ready and friendly to assist you with anything.

This place is only 5 - minute walk to Lambton Quay, which is the city center with all the shops, restaurants, malls and shopping centers, and 10-15 minutes walk to the Waterfront. Te Papa museum and more are around the area as well. So, all in all, this place is indeed recommended.

Go check out the price on their web and get the best price for your stay! Cheers...

Wonderful stay at Pullman Hotel Grand Central Bandung

Welcome back to Bandung

Visiting Bandung, the capital city of West Java Province, is always lovely. Whenever we had the opportunity to come and visit this wonderful place,  we try to get lovely place to stay as well. From our last trip, Pullman Grand Central Bandung is one of the lovely places we would love to try. So, let's walk through with me to review this premise.

Welcome to Pullman Grand Central Bandung!

Firstly, I love the fact that this hotel is perfectly located near Gedung Sate, Gasibu Field and the center of Bandung. It is indeed a prime location to those who want to stay in Bandung for a short period of time or even longer. It is easy to reach this place as well, particularly if you drive from Jakarta or anywhere else using the highway because the hotel is not far from the famous Pasopati bridge and highway.

The premise is certified CHSE safe and health protocol is carefully placed. When we arrived, we had our body temperature checked with the machine (so touchless and way safer I believe) and wash our hands or use the hand sanitizers immediately before entering the building.

Such a welcoming lobby

Once you stepped into the building, you will definitely love the lobby area. Well, I love it indeed. It is very elegant and for sure beautiful. The sofas are comfortable, the chandelier is beautiful, the distancing space is maintained, and the area is thoroughly cleaned.

The room is nice and spacious.

It is also carefully and thoroughly sanitized.

Inside the room, you will have hygiene kit which has hand sanitizer and wipes. It is handy.

here's the Hygiene Set

I love the bed and the pillows which is super comfortable. The amenities are complete and it has extra things such as emery board, shower cap, shaving kit, and other. Free Nescafe coffee, Dilmah teas, sugar, and cream are available as you have coffee machine and water boiler as well. They even provide dumbells and yoga mat for your exercise! They have robes, scale and hair dryer as well. Complete indeed. So, you do have the comfort of home. Let's take a look at the photos we took in the room.

Food is great as well here. We really enjoyed the menu selection they have here.

I love the breakfast, lunch and dinner here. It has various menus like Indonesian traditional food, even Bandungnese delicacies and famous munchies, Western food, as well as desserts like ice creams and cakes. They have noodles corner, live BBQ corner serving satay, and more. We managed to try them all here. They also serve shaum during Ramadhan since we did our first shaum or breakfast before the sunrise here as well.

Here are some of the photos I took in the dining area.

The hotel has T-Box cafe as well and I really love seeing the decor here. So beautiful, elegant yet homy!

As for the pool and public areas such as kids' zone and teen activity center, you can use the pool and fitness center after booking it. They strictly manage the numbers of the people in the public area during the pandemic. The kids and teens' fun zones are closed, as well as the spa. The pool is not that big but it is enough to have a healthy round of swimming, so we can still enjoy it. I didn't get a chance to try the fitness center but I saw it has many equipments in the room.

The hotel is also disability friendly. There are ramps and assistance to those having reduced mobility.

Its strategic location is really a plus point so we can easily explore the area. It's not far from Jl. Riau for stretches of Factory Outlets and many cool cafes and eateries in Bandung. If only I had more time to explore them all!

Too bad I didn't get a chance to go to the rooftop cafe in this hotel and I will be more than happy to go back here again.

So, that's our little review on this lovely place. We highly recommend this place and happy to go back.

Wonderful Wednesday with My Purple World, Oh My Heartsie Girls and Friends

Hi everyone..

Happy Thanksgiving to all my family and friends in the US. I still remember vividly how lovely the ambience is, where get-together and family time are the main agenda. Well the pandemic will certainly make things different but I sincerely hope the spirit remains the same. and the holiday spirit will certainly linger as December is soon coming. I have seen many Christmas decorations in hotels and public places as the holiday season is just around the corner. I sincerely hope the pandemic will not dampen the spirit, although we still have to be extremely careful and observe the health protocol at all times!

Speaking of the end of the year, we are working extra hard to finish things up. Due to the pandemic, we have many activities and events being canceled, postponed or pushed back. My team and I are working hand in hand to finish them all. It takes all the coordination, time management, and endless virtual meetings to finish many of them. Of course we have some break but even during the break we are already bombarded with the next task.

the drafting work..

With all these never ending work, I have no better option than manage my time effectively and delegate the works efficiently with my team. I spend so much time with them to ensure we all are right on track.

fancy some dessert?

The perk is we get to visit various places and hotels for the works of the Working Group. Some of them are super comfy with 5-star facilities and wonderful food and  for sure, I appreciate the attention given to the team.
Wish us luck, please!

At home, kids are starting to have their tests again. The end of the year break is soon starting and we will have long break heading to New Year. Oh my.. 2021 is just days! Never stop praying for a better, healthier and happier year indeed. Let's see what's in store for us!.

Oh ya, I found more 'treasures from one of my big luggages (and boxes) from NYC. This time, I love the Sephora Collection lip samplers. They are cute!
